Perkins MAY be the best athlete, but certainly not the best player. He got worked over by A & M and UGA . With experience, he'll be a great one.

We need two deep of near equal talent so we can keep all fresh against dominant offensive lines. Want Roy back as well to make that a reality. If every play on defense we've got a penetrating / roadblock up the
middle, it makes it so more difficult to key on Perkins to assure opposing offensive success. If we get every safety and CB we dream of, they will still need time to come together.
