Not to mention the shitty cameras CBS uses causes 4K tvs to blur during fast motion. And don’t get me started on Pom Pom shots

Rarely were drives interrupted.
I don't think I have never seen a commercial break in the middle of a drive unless there was some kind of timeout or review.

I think Todd Blacklege is the best announcer in the business right now. He is very good. Danielson has been in the SEC too long.

CBS pays a frick TON of money for the rights to do that.
CBS pays $55 million a year for SEC football - they get 14 regular-season games and the SEC Championship. That's very, very little in the grand scheme.

The current contract is very outdated and the SEC will get an even bigger bump in pay when the contract is up.
CBS pays 55 million a year for the right to get first choice of SEC games.
For reference, ESPN pays 150 million dollars a game for Monday Night Football.

I've finally warmed up to Fowler but miss him as Game Day host. I still think he gets a little too excited at times.
Nessler is a good PBP guy but he is severely hampered by Danielson. Danielson's awe and hyperbole have taken their toll on Nessler.
Herbstreit has come a long way but I still think Todd Blackledge is the best analyst.

Herbstreit is actually pretty good as a color commentator.
So much better than Danielson. Herbstreit actually knows his stuff.

Danielson doesn't even try to hide it anymore.... his voice goes a few decibels higher and a little squeaky when he talks of his love for Saban and Bama.

Anyone else watch the SKY cam broadcast? We watched the sky cam broadcast and enjoyed hearing only the stadium sounds and Dan Borne' as the only announcer. Loved it!

One gripe was you couldn’t hear the band.
I was at the game and it is very hard to hear TGBFTL. Keep saying that 325 is not large enough. I re-watched it yesterday (of course) and you could not hear the band or the chants. I think it is because of the outrageous chants by the students who think it is cute to tell people to STTDB.

They both suck, all tv broadcasting these days is horrible. Only difference is degree.

Sure, the conference holds the upper hand...if they’re willing to accept less money.

Gary will mention Alabama o/u 10 times during our game against Mississippi state and our game against Auburn.

Danielson wasn't as bad before and the play by play guy is Ok, but the main problem is the commercials. It's just ridiculous.
Florida game had a good flow but Florida's long drives also had to so something with it. Vs Texas (ABC) had Herbie who is good, but with so many quick scores and network ads that game was way too long also.

Whah whah whah and all my Alabama friends sweat cbs fawns over LSU. Believing they are pro bama or pro LSU is for dummies.

I was in television 35 years. ESPN is a cable company, no restrictions on commercial breaks. NBC, ABC, CBS and FOX are broadcast networks, once upon a time could not have a break longer than 2 minutes but could do a station ID and have 2 more minutes. Al Gore declared the NAB code unclear, changed all the rules and f.....d up everything. If you notice on almost all network games, first half are all big network sponsors, local gets the second half because if a game is a blowout ratings are higher in the first half so the stations don't owe advertisers points. Most arguments here are wrong, really wrong.

No matter what teams he is covering, he's sure to bring up Bama several times a broadcast. I know they have been the cream of the crop for a while now, but guy needs to realize other SEC fans don't want to hear that shite when their teams are playing.

This was also ESPN's FIRST 100% 4K broadcast of a CFB game
This is probably the dumbest question ever - but are the replays in 4K as well?
