The playaction with the lob pass to the TE on the strong sideline was awesome as well. There was even a blocker over there and not a single defender.

I thought that was pretty funny. I thought "Damn, he can't even find someone to block!"

So you’re skeptical of Canada but not Orgeron?

If it wasn’t for Canada, O would already be getting ready to pack his bags.

Balanced? WTF are you talking about? If we use that game plan vs Bama we won’t gain 100 yds

Anyone notice the counter play we ran and DJ Charks fantastic blocking when we ran it? it comes up at 1:48 and 2:31 in this highlight Highlight. But we ran that play all night and had a ton of success with it.

e been tough on the man for 87 formations on trap dive right. But last night we were so balanced and so creative with getting short passes Etling can make into hands of playmakers. I haven't been that fooled watching a LSU game in a long time. Stretched the field without going vertical and being one dimensional, and quick developing plays took pressure off Oline pass blocking.

Excited to see how creative he gets with Alabama.

I'm giving you real statistics. If you can't fathom that our vertical passing game has been non-existent for 5 years then your IQ level is that of a 3rd grader. We had 0 completions to wide-receivers. Did you read that correctly 0. Intermediate passing will not get it done against Nick Saban.

Ole Miss defense is horrid. My god some of you people can't take the blinders off if your life depended on it.

Not miserable at all, but I'll call a spade a spade all day long. Some of you can't seem to fathom that.

Lsu needs an offense line & receivers that can catch the ball. I really feel bad for Danny, no blocking!

Canada's rink dink offense will get stuffed against Bama. DE is not quick getting ball out, our OL is porous to the pass rush, and their DL will reset the LOS 3 yards in our backfield. Crimson Midget will load the box. Until we get a qb.....this offense will not hang with good teams.

I probably would've said it different, but this pretty much covers it.

ETA - i did enjoy the playcalling vs OM, but hope we have something very very different against Bama....which is ultimately what really matters.

We have 24 passing plays for 20yds or more this year on 174 attempts. With this OL. That's a "big" pass play executed/complete every 7.25 attempts.

That doesn't include the two more we had (60yds and 63yds) against OM. They just didn't happen to be to WRs.

So we've been consistently getting big plays in the passing game (and on the ground), so 1 game where it just happened to be (the horror!) a RB and a TE and we suck again.

An eligible receiver is an eligible receiver. And I guess it didn't occure to many that since we've gone years without using the TEs and RBs in the passing game (except for blockers) OM assumed more of the same, didn't adjust, and Canada made them pay. Should be happy.

Agreed - will need a balanced attack this week but love the ability to play and adjust to what the defense is showing you.

This game's play calling was not about being balanced, it was about winning ... anyone with any common sense knew it would be about keeping Patterson and their receivers on the bench.... BALL CONTROL and TIME OF POSSESSION, not balance.
