It's coaching. During the game and in practice. Gio's secondary technique on 3rd was awful and the reason he was picked off. I have seen 10 year old teams coached better. There is a different lead and secondary thought process at each base. Its obvious our coaches have failed to take the 30 min it takes to learn the process in practice. Unbelievable coaching at this level.

Well, the player should know not to go too far down the line, but the third base coach should have called him back before. Florida State clearly saw it. That's why they threw. Our coach never had a clue.

Where I may agree with you that Gio should have known better, as a coach, he should have been communicating to him he only needs a small lead there and that base runners were of the utmost importance. As fast as Gio is, any contact to the right side and he scores.
