Does a good qb force wr's to catch?

I counted five very catchable passes last night that could have been thrown by Joe Montana.

yes, but that's my point....after being in Crowton's system (for what, 2 years?), JJ should have had a firm grasp of what Crowton wanted to do...(even with his so-called "cute" plays)...

you can't simplify too much...because then you become predictible...and that's a big reason why LSU's offense has strggled under Crowton's system..

trust me....I've been watching intently to LSU's offense for the last 5 years...and LSU's offense has been way too predictible...especially when the defense is not afraid of the qb going over the defense...

I think if Lee gets more reps...gels with his new receivers....Lee has that ability to go over the top...and make defenses pay...

case in point....Lee's pass to D Peterson

If Lee can master that play...NO MORE 8 MEN IN THE BOX

...and let Ford and Ware loose

too much speculation! How do you know how good Luck would be playing everyweek against these type of defenses.

Can you imagine this team with a young Walter Payton and Barry Sanders in the backfield, with Dion Sanders and Marcus Spears on the other side of the ball. Wait, add a young Tommy Casanova and put Warren Capone on the D side as well. Man, if only......

The numbers mean he completed 10 receptions on 22 attempts for 98 yards.

But let's cut the message board cutesy crap. I'm assuming we're all grown men here. I'm not verbally or otherwise frustrated. We're talking football; I'm making a point. At 45% completion, it's very hard for me to consider a performance "good" or "all I want" unless all completions were for huge gains or points. That wasn't the case.

Anything else?

What about 1 TD and NO INT ???

TDs and INTs do not count in your opinion about a QB ???

Drop it. JL was much better than JJ. Admit it and enjoy the season, idiot

that is why I think 2012-2014, with Mett and Rivers, are going to be awesome for LSU

10/22 for 98 yds, 1 TD and no INT is a bad game to you ???

How many bad games JJ had last year (games when he had at least 1 TD and no INT )???

JL could be better . He was decent last night, not BAD at all

Like JaMarcus, right? *snicker*

Jamarcus was a lazy MFer who failed miserably as a pro, but as a college QB he was a legit star.

A star QB is a QB who elevates the play of the entire offense. That was not JaMarcus. JaMarcus played sloppy and so did the entire offense. It was sandlot football.

You left out Mike Anderson, Billy Cannon, and a few others.

Can you imagine how this team would be if only...

After last night Lee's career TD/INT ratio is 19/18. JJ is 24/17.

I was pointing out the worst of the stats. I have posted the whole set no fewer than five times in the last 24 hours.

As a side note, very few people have been name-calling in these threads today.

Act like a fricking man.

It could be if other things didn't fall into place. But I've said many times that it's adequate.

It is by no means "good" and a damn far sight from "great"; It's been called both many times today.

Can you imagine how much more pleasant it would be to be a fan of LSU without fans who find fault every chance they can get. I am tired of the "Yes but.... crowd".

+1000...I read on some national sports chat board recently that a number of LSU fans(?) were the worst "winning" fans in the nation. They cannot enjoy a win no matter what!!!

I am not comparing their college careers yet. JL still has almost a whole season to go. JJ's college career probably is over.

I am asking you why you don't count the 1 TD and no INT when talking about JL numbers from last night game ???
