Is that acceptable? Would we compete in SEC and run the tournament again?

Big difference in the week in week out beating you take playing at LSU vs the OVC.

It wouldn’t be a good outcome.

Not sure it would even be a mid-level SEC team. LSU hoops is big time freaked for the next couple of seasons.

LSU was a mid-level SEC team last year. What exactly are you Debbie Downers not comprehending?

Wade had to pay all these top players to be a mid-tier team. A portion of our fanbase is melting over that extreme lack of productivity leaving. It’s comical! MM can be successful here , but he will need time. I wish that the damn sanctions would come out, and then we could all have a better idea of how long it might take for MM to realistically get LSU rolling.

I think the real point, maybe not obvious to the OP, is that there is no school allegiance existing in the sport

The days of not really being a fan of basketball, yet following b/c it’s LSU, are over for many

And the players today make it easier to forget the fandom of yesteryear

A cleanse is a fresh start. Ww was not the great coach that many think he was. He was a good recruiter and did it his way but he was not a good coach. He was dirty and got caught.

Good point - it seems like mids can get primed for a good short run, but to sustain that over a season, it's just different.

We'd likely have to make them a damn strong offer.

I mean, I wouldn’t hate it. It would be a decent team.

Lol they were as good or better than us last year. Their starters were at least equal if not better than ours. There team last year would have finished right around were we did

With talent too. So we become cellar dwellers.
It was always football first and since The Skip Dynasty baseball second.
