Can we get a cart to roll the golden boot around on?

That thing is pretty heavy and one of these days somebody will drop it on their foot and miss the rest of the season.

I would be perfectly fine if we left that thing sitting on the bench (if we win) like Burrow and crew did with the Magnolia Trophy in 2019.

That is what we should always do. Those trophies aren't the goal.

In a world of dumb trophies for contrived rivalries, The Golden Boot is among the worst.

It's like someone decided on a Monday in 1996:

"Hey, how about we make Arkansas and LSU 'rivals'"?

"Ok. Should we have a trophy for the game?"

"I guess. What can we do?"

"I know. Let's make a boot trophy!"

"Ok. What kind of boot? Cowboy? Rubber boot? Hiking boot?"

"No. We probably don't have time for the trophy store to make that. Just take that map over there, cut out Louisiana and Arkansas and ask the trophy store if they can make a trophy that looks like that and have it ready by Friday?

Seems like I remember it years ago that after the game one team picked up and it broke in half or came off the stand. Maybe I am misremembering.

Probably more like miss the rest of their foot if that happens.

I actually like the golden boot though it’s a cool trophy. The magnolia thing is a piece of shite
