How about we play the whole season and support our team.

A long time ago there was a guy named Pilot that had a choice --- he deferred the the crowd and they chose a guy named Barabus... over this other dude name Jesus.... something tells me the crowd got that wrong... but I don't know.

I support the team and I trust the coach to fix the problems when the time comes at the end of the season... I will NOT Boo in Tiger stadium and I'll try not to release a torrent of F-Bombs if we screw up a game so bad that we snatch defeat from the jaws of victory as we did in at Ole Miss last year and tried to do this past Saturday.

I don't think many Tiger fans expect to go undefeated this year....but sure as hell expect to see improvement in our offense and point production from what we've seen. If (big If) they play a solid game, few mistakes, consistent drives, good game plan & clock mgt., but still leave the swamp with an L, I think the majority of fans will accept that. I know I would over what has happened so far.

What a load of $hit ... Fairweather fans like this who hold season tickets and boo the players and coaches need their arses kicked AT THE GAME

You might want to go learn what a fair weather fan is first of all. A fair weather fan is on who is only interested in the team when they are doing well. This poster is a fan (fanatic) whether they are doing well or not, in this case not.

I agree that being this upset when they aren't doing well makes them MORE of a fan. It's the polar opposite of a fair weather fan or band wagon fan.

Wait...wait.....I'm sorry. Pilot? LOOOOOOL.

That would be PILATE. Not someone who navigates a jumbo jet.

And, btw, this is a HORRIBLE analogy. God just texted me, and said this was a detriment to the story of Jesus.

I have to agree.

The Sabanistas will never accept Miles, even if he is the coach for another 10 years. They just won't.

I always back the team. I backed the team in the 90s. I backed the team in 1999, when many LSU "fans" rooted against the team so they could get a new coach.

back the team all you want. I back the team.

I'm all for the kids, just not always for the men who try to lead them. that's perfectly acceptable.

I think we've lost focus.

A simple request:

We go 6-0, and we put negativity aside until after the season is over.

I don't want to debate anything else. A simple yes or no is fine.

It doesn't, but it seems like a lot of fans now need a reason to cheer for the team.

Again, I advocate always being supportive, but for the negative i'm advocating a deal, a blood oath if you will.

I'm behind you 100% BRTiger!

Good luck with the knegative knuckleheads on this board, however.

And before the Spelling Police chime in, I was purposely going for the alliteration.

That's right. We won't. Because for those 10 years he would continue to frick up clock management and marginalize talent. Everyone but short-sighted Miles lovers can see that.

I just don't understand how some of you equate being critical of the team's leadership to not supporting the team. You can support the team, root for them to win, go to games, tailgate, yell till you're hoarse and still disagree with the way the program is run. The two things are not mutually exclusive.

Oh, and great post Freek. That's exactly how I feel.

get behind this team and help them to victory
---------------------------------------------------

Sounds great! How do I do that?

Carry their pads?
Bring them water?
Ask the O-line to stop it with the motion penalties?
Run some routes for our quarterbacks after practice?

I'll do (almost) anyting to help this team to victory.

Dude....Really?....Miles is damn near .80 winning percentage and undefeated, has the longest coaching tenure and they have him measured up for a short rope and long fall in BR....LSU could come out Saturday and crush Florida and there would still be bitching about something he did...and....when/if he does drop a game before the end of the season, people will be selling plasma and bone marrow to finance his friggin' departure. I wish it could be, but it ain't going to happen...Only way he gets backing is if he runs the table...otherwise he is toast to the fan base...I personally think its crap, but reason doesn't play well with this fan base...Why? Dunno...I just sit back, watch the games on Saturdays and giggle on Mondays when I read the flaming....THIS DUDE HAS DOUCET FLIPPING HIS WIG and apologizing for it...It is bad! Makes good ancillary excitement though...I'm eating popcorn, drinking beer and taking it all in...Hell, I invite my most flaming LSU friends over for free beer and BBQ every game just for the entertainment...It is priceless...and to think, I used to be the worst of them all...
