Shouldn't Alleva say something, with no rebuttal from LSU on any of this the media can say or do what they want until they are corrected

Columnist/Journalist's jobs are to get readers and followers. Not all are reliable in any form or fashion. They can focus there comments to speculation and sources just like this site does. After all, isn't this message board a form of media?

I have posted this a couple of times, and it seems to make sense to me:

quote:

I think the fact that Alleva has gone silent is the biggest sign right now that something is going on/has happened.

If there was nothing going on regarding the coaching search, then it would be relatively easy to come out and answer media questions honestly.

"Will Miles be coaching his last game on Saturday?"

-We will evaluate Coach at the end of the season like we always have, no decisions have been made at this time.

"Are you looking for another coach?"

-No, we have coach Miles.

That said, if there is already a deal in place, and he comes out and answers those two questions the same way, and then announces Jimbo on Monday, then he comes off as a liar and a snake for real.

Alleva is a smart guy, and I'm sure he's getting some advice from some very smart people to remain quiet...until it's time to talk.

I'm not looking to blame this crap on TigerDroppings, but it seems somewhat farcical for TigerDroppings to blame this mess on the "media."

Who said "TigerDroppings" was blaming anyone, shite stirrer?

Power? No.

TigerDroppings is a channel of communication and information. It's a medium.

To put a finer point on it, TigerDroppings is probably the largest channel of communication and information for LSU sports other than ESPN. LINK

When journalists discuss the emotions of the LSU fanbase, where do you think they go for that information? Take a poll of LSU fans?!?!

How many posts from this website have been the "source" of information for "legitimate" media?

I'm not giving TigerDroppings any power. But you'd have to be a fool to deny that posts and threads on TigerDroppings are some of the leading forces that shape public opinion about LSU football in general, and Les Miles in particular.

They've reported exactly what leaks they were given.

Sure made Alleva's job easier huh?

Who is really calling the shots here? Is it Alleva or is he just a puppet?

Yep true, but the way Alleva has handled this is embarrassing. He's a little weasel and has no integrity. Guess he'll bolt from LSU if this turns into a clusterfrick, just like he the Duke thing was a clusterfrick, and the little shite just ran away.

This better work or Alleva needs to be shown the door asap!
