You do realize that every college football stadium does this as does NFL, ya?

Forget about this going away.

We went to Clemson this year and they piped music between every play. South Carolina last year too. Assume most schools are.

It should at least be limited to TV timeouts only.

They do it every where. It’s part of the CFB environment now. This isn’t the 90s anymore grandpa

This is false. I watch SEC games every weekend and I’m amazed at how much the bands for Georgia or Alabama or Tennessee play compared to ours and how much louder they are than ours. Yes every stadium has some piped in music but we have gotten out of control with it and removed one of the things that makes college football great: the bands.

who cares? You think the players are coming here for pipes in music.
A. There are 100,000 paying fans in the stadium vs. 100 players. The fans pay the bills.

B. If the music in the stadium affects the players' performance, we have the wrong players.

Because I’d rather listen to the band that LSU already has?? Explain how that makes me a tool?

No they don’t. They are largely in agreement that the current DJ sucks.

So long as the students continue to try to sing STTDB to anything the band plays, the administration will limit the amount the band is allowed to play by piping in music.

Want more band? Tell the students to knock it off.

There are many schools out there that have FU chants and stuff way worse than STTDB. We make it a bigger deal than it is by banning it.

The players are employees, they can shut the frick up and do their jobs.

What is defined as “piped in music?” Is it the shitty speaker system or is it the type/genre of music? I went to a game a couple years ago and didn’t really notice so just wanted some clarity on what everyone is talking about.

Well I’d be willing to bet the players don’t to listen to AC/DC, Wham, nickelback, hootie and the blowfish, and Eric Church. I’d imagine they put in the request of what they want to warm up to and that’s what gets played.

Then the music department needs to refuse to send the band out to anymore games, home or away. Have them focus on other performance opportunities where they are appreciated.
