LSU. I like the BOYS too. Bc when I was growing up they are who we watched on TV bc the saints were blacked out due to not being able to put asses in the dome

I don’t hate the Saints, but I’m not emotionally invested in them like I am LSU. I was hoping the Saints would win today, because so many people would be happy. But I won’t lose sleep tonight over the loss. I couldn’t sleep the night of the Texas A&M loss.

I don’t know man. I see a lot of people who love LSU and just aren’t as emotionally invested in pro ball. Some maybe grew up rooting for other pro teams?

I love the saints but have stopped following pro ball years ago bc of bs like we saw today. The NFL has the credibility of WWE in my opinion. Been that way for a decade or so.

I’m disappointed but not at all surprised at today’s outcome.

Generally I just prefer college sports to pro sports

I don’t assume they are, I just don’t get why they wouldn’t root for the “home team”

I live in Nashville and openly root against the Predators because their “fans” are obnoxious. I don’t even like or care about hockey but hope they lose. What I’m saying is, I can see how a non-Saints fan would root against the Saints, although I haven’t seen many LSU fans doing this.

Serious question. Thanks in advance for the sarcastic responses.

I think most LSU fans love the Saints. But, it's easier to hate and talk bad about them than support them and get emotionally distraught after a game like today. Even though everybody in the nation knows the refs blew that game, so did Payton and the Saints players and coaches. The Saints are more of a national brand while LSU is more of a state brand, especially with most of LSU's players coming from the state of Louisiana. I guess some people just feel more attached emotionally to LSU than to the Saints.

I agree. When my wife asked after the game how pissed I was I told her the only thing that kept me from breaking the tv was that LSU wasn’t playing. I’m definitely much more invested in LSU than the Saints and also college football in general over pro. The statement about coming from all over the country actually makes a lot of sense and I’m disappointed I didn’t think of that. I guess it’s second nature now after being born and raised in Baton Rouge. Like I said previously thanks again for the sarcastic comments y’all don’t dissapoint

It's not hate for the Saints per say, it's resentment at having to carry the city of New Orleans' sorry arse with our tax dollars, and at the parochialism of Orleanians who dont think anything exists outside their city.

Also, when most of us were growing up, the NFL decided who you got to see on TV. Unless you lived in and around New Orleans proper, you didnt see the Saints that often. So we didnt form a close attachment.

I have nothing against the Saints. I was pulling for them and think they got robbed. But I'm not heartbroken.

Don’t hate the Saints and the blown call today really pissed me off. But I’m just not a big NFL fan. MLB and the NBA are better run leagues IMO. Especially with these rule changes. And Growing up, my dad never took me to Saints games because they were on a Sunday and I had school the next day and we usually spent the day before in tiger stadium.

Also the Saints can up and move at anytime if Gayle decides to Sell. LSU will always be in Baton Rouge.

Just cause you went to LSU does not mean you grew up a Saints fan or in Louisiana. It’s not a requirement to cheer for your home town sport teams. Grew up in Seattle and never once cheered for the Seahawks.

Love LSU, like the Saints and Titans. Saints got jobbed today, should be in Super Bowl.

Grew up in Dallas. HS and LSU in the 90s when the Cowboys were winning SBs.

I’ve grown to dislike the Saints for three reasons:

1: The incessant obsessive sniping about the Falcons and making fun of their SB collapse. Not classy. I wouldn’t wish that on any fan base.

2: The obsession with hating the Cowboys out of nothing more than sheer unadulterated jealousy. Even my college buds were nasty to me about being a Cowboys fan. News flash: we never think of you. At all.

3: Sean Payton should be banned from the league for the bounties he allowed to happen on his watch. Watching Fox show clips of the Saints’ last NFC Champ against the Vikings made it absolutely apparent the defense was targeting Favre and trying to take him out. I have no respect for the man. A NO/NE SB would have pitted the two dirtiest coaches in league against each other.

Despite all of that, I’ll cheer for the Saints when Payton is gone.

I don't hate the Saints, just never been a fan. Born and raised in Louisiana, went to school at LSU, lived in New Orleans for a few years after college, but I was just never a Saints fan.

I pull for the Giants became my best friend's family founded the team and her dad still works for them. I never had an interest in the Saints, but I don't hate them,
