It was they same way when they were in the Big XII! Nothing to show for but a few natty's from the 1920's and 1930's!

Part of it is the cult of personality for Jimbo. NC coach, QB whisperer, etc. I don't agree with that to such a degree, but I think that is were a lot of the run is coming from.

This season is do or die for Jimbo it’s the apex of their hype. If he doesn’t secure at least the West they’ll be drumming for his $75M arse to get out of college station. That program is pathetic.

They will have a very good defense and the best RB room in the SEC. Devon Achane will be a superstar. If they get good qb play they will be tough to beat.

I like it because pretty high probability they'll fail in reaching these expectations.

Jimbo works the media better than most coaches. And the Aggies are trending upward. Overhyped? yes imo

I agree. I saw the A&M Spring Game and A&M has some serious issues on their OL and at QB. The RBs do not catch well out of the backfield and their secondary is mediocre at best. They look like they can win about 7 maybe 8 including a bowl win. That's it.

Yeah, and he was a terrible QB. He didn't do shite against LSU last year. If we had any pulse on offense TAMU would've lose that game. If this dude couldn't push his sorry arse out of the way what does that say about their QB room? It's not looking good. Jimbo is their problem on offense.

They'll probably have a good defense. It's funny looking at them now they seem to be closer to what LSU was when we had Miles. Not that bad on offense but it has some striking similarities. Good/great defenses, terrible QB play, great RB play. They will never get anywhere with Jimbo's scheme. Their schedule favors them though but it also hinges on how good the west is.

Wow that schedule is ridiculously easy, but let's just pretend they beat Alabama, they can't come to Tiger Stadium the last week of the season and win in Death Valley.

Also I have no idea if Colorado is any good, but it would make my week if they went to boulder and tripped up.

Probably true, but something that we riding with Jimbo replacing Miles back in 2015 will never admit.

1. Jimbo
2. They’ve recruited well
3. Their schedule

They may end up 10-3.... but I’m not buying the hype. I know Jimbo has beaten us twice since he’s been there BUT —- we’re returning waaay more than they are and I don’t see them beating us this year or finishing higher than us in the West.

Can someone explain the TAMU Hype?
I have seen so many pre-season articles regarding how good TAMU is going to be this year.

A&M had a good season last year 10-1, have an easier schedule this year than in 2019. Jimbo brings more to the team as a coach with national title win.

My opinion the defense for A&M is better than years past and they are a real contender for the SEC West grouping behind Bama.

Last season was their ceiling. Had a senior laden team with a very favorable schedule. Finished 5th . Also their highest finish in any major sport in 3 generations.

The officials beat us in the 7 overtime fiasco. Make no mistake about that.

They did not win 2 out of 3 against LSU. The first win was absolute bullshite and anyone with eyes outside LSU fans could see it in that game. The refs handed the game to them. That game should've been over multiple times in OT with an LSU win and I'm not talking about the down at the end of the game with the Delpit INT. How about when Greedy stripped the WR into the end zone and that was called incomplete? The dude ran for several yards with perfect control on the football before he got stripped. That was a fumble. Game over.
