I don't get it there are plenty of reasons not to hire him but shitting on him after the job he's done in the face of what he was left to deal with is just wrong.

Youre really starting to find out the posters that hated miles. These posters that are arguing for O used the exact opposite of their arguments to shite on a lsu hc that actually was very successful.

O will not be our head coach. It would be really cool to find a position for him in the new regime. He asks, and gets, a lot from the D-line. He is also a great recruiter.
He left USC after his interim stint because they did not offer him the HC gig. I don't think he will do that with LSU if he is offered a position. He would still make good money for doing what he loves at a school he has loved since he was a child.
While not perfect, he has done a decent job as the head coach. He is just not the fit we need. That is not crapping on him. He is a good DL coach and a good guy with much to bring to the table.

No hate at all from here. He has done a fine job in pulling the team together after a tough situation. I started a thread on Saturday stating that it was not his fault as to the makeup and direction of this team. That still falls on the man fired for very good reason.
Having said that, Coach O is not the right guy. We need a man with a vision and the wherewithal to drive that vision to the field. Slogans and relying only on the staff for directing the team is not what LSU needs going forward. We need an up and coming coach to lead the team back to contention in the SEC West and further.
Some here are so excited that the head coach "speaks" their language that they are willing to overlook the fact that Coach O is not the man for the job. It is time for LSU to take a new path for the future with a new coaching staff. If Coach O has a role in that direction, it would be wonderful. If not, so be it.
