If LSU scores 21 points you aren't beating the Tigers this season.

Easily. Les will let Cam do his thing. Get ready to smile a smile that is half happiness of having a great offense, and half schadenfreude of the agony of the opposing team.

Can? Yes.
Will we? No
But we won't need to. We beat Bama 2 years ago with no TD's and just 3 FG's. I think this will be our best offense under Miles.

I don;t think our defense will be that consistent. I lot of talented youth that will make some mistakes. I think we need our offense to put together long drives throughout the season. Our defense was on the field way to long last year.

With the weapons we have, a experienced O-line, ZM8 under the wing of CC, the stable of RB's, there is absolutely NO reason we shouldn't score at least 21 per game... In fact, I'd be disappointed if we score less!!! JMHO

It's not Les' style football. Les style is as follows:

1) Determine level of competition
2) Play to that level
3) Hope we get lucky and win

I think we offensively average 28 points a game, with Cam as coordinator(4 offensive td's a game). We will need to average around that to win some of the games this year. Our defense, I think will be more talented than ever, but not neccessarily as experienced, depth wise. It would be good to average 28, and get some turnover help from the defense.

An 80% success ratio isn't luck.

In each game? Possibly

Per game (average)? Definitely

It may be, but Miles was the head coach in 2006 and 2007. Some people forget that Les Miles coached at LSU prior to Jordan Jefferson.

Scoring 21 points on offense, objectively speaking, may not be enough to win.

sustained drives

This plays a huge factor in the mix. Suppose our offense puts up 3 TDs each game, but certain times, each TD is a "quick strike" score, allowing the opponent to milk clock time and wear down the defense. Clock control is the key to winning games. Combine that with timely conversions and field possession, and that is the recipe needed to come out on top.

True but he was recruiting JJ prior to his JJ's time at LSU and grooming his team for JJ. Miles existence at LSU has been for JJs purpose.

Really.

It's not like they didn't consistently put up 3 tds last season. There were maybe 4 games where they didn't. 3 isn't much of an accomplishment.

I've read this like 10 times and it still makes no sense. You should quit drinking again Walt
