last night?? I know he is not that big, but that demonstrated what a dual threat QB that is really good at running and pretty good at throwing the ball (enough to keep the D honest) can be. AR was the win for Billy Napier last night. Couldn't depend on his D and if not for Utah not being able to get out of its own way on offense, UF D is a non-factor. But back to the point - the demonstration is how devastating a good runner at the QB pos can be as long as the pass is a legitimate threat.

Dual threat QBs dominated college football yesterday.

Man, so much of that depends on OLine play and being a real passing threat. I think we all hope JD can be that guy for us.

If your QB can’t run, he better make up for it big time in other areas. It’s like a basketball player that can’t shoot, yes it’s possible to still be a great player(Shaq), but it certainly helps to be able to shoot the ball.

I think that’s to much to ask Richardson was throwing some beautiful balls like I was thoroughly impressed with his arm and accuracy

He impressed the hell out of me last year in our game, he can absolutely drop dimes as well as produce with his feet

Richardson is nearly the complete package of what you want for modern offensive systems. I don't think Daniels is anywhere near that talented. And it's not a knock on Daniels.

He can be better because he’s a far better passer

Daniels isn’t as physically gifted as Richardson, but Daniels has better weapons. So yes there’s a similarity as far as being true dual threat QBs.

A better parallel for Daniels might be Cam Rising, who was also very effective using his running ability to pick up yardage in that game. Their body types and styles are closer, even though I suspect Daniels is a good bit faster.

If he can't pass it doesn't matter how well he runs.

Daniels is fast I just don’t know if I would want him running as much as Richardson. You gotta be smart with your QB so that they don’t get banged up. Richardson has 30-35lbs on Daniels so he is built a little better to take some hits

Wow. Anytime QB discussions happen on the rant, some truly retarded shite gets posted. Daniels is not as talented as Richardson? I think they stack up quite well in terms of arm talent and speed. From what I've seen, I think Daniels throws with better touch and has a better deep ball. Daniels is a lot thinner, but other than that I think Daniels will have an outing much like Richardson.

Richardson took some time to settle into running the offense and he missed some throws and looked shaky in spots. As the game wore on, though, he had some Wow! moments. I definitely think Daniels can do the same.

Yea Daniels is only faster, quicker and probably more accurate than Richardson. But I agree Daniels is nowhere near Richardson lol

Richardson took some big hits last night. I respect the heck out of him, but I’ll be very surprised if he lasts all season.

Richardson is a prototype made in a lab. Don’t get your hopes up for that out of Daniels.

Not directly on topic, but I wouldn’t count out the UF D. Utah really leaned on them in the running game and pretty much broke them down. Not many teams can effectively bully like that, maybe only a handful in the nation, most being in the SEC.

With what BK is putting together, we very well may be one of those teams. I’m really excited to see how we run the ball.

He threw for 168 yards and no touchdowns. Josh Allen is the guy made in a lab, let’s pump the brakes a bit.
