Well, I'm 38 so there's that. I was a college athlete, then faught in the UFC, then won a national championship in jiu-jitsu, now I do Ironman's so it's not like I'm some fat loser behind a keyboard.
However, last I checked this forum is entitled "the rant", not "let me suck off some 20 year old kid".
Glad he chose LSU, hope he starts tackling better and keeps his spot, just hope others who are stepping up and making plays get their chance to compete!

Obviously you are connected to him. He has potential. But he has not maximized that potential yet. Instead of swag, wrap up and turn your head. I guarantee I'll respect that a lot more than swag.

Donte would absolutely be drafted if he threw his hat into the draft this year. He has so-so technique, but that is coachable. He has world class speed and someone would bite on that because you cannot coach that
Jalen Mills is a bad example...he graded out as a 2nd -3rd rounder, but then he was accused of punching a woman in the face

How many times did BYU target his receiver when he was in one on one coverage? Donte has played his heart out for the purple and gold. He had offers from USC, Oklahoma, Georgia, Notre Dame and many other schools. However, he CHOSE LSU and has contributed to many wins. Do as you please because it's a free country, but I will never trash a kid who has represented LSU well and gave it his all busting his arse in 90 degree fricking heat and training year round while most of us experts are sitting in our homes and or offices with air conditioning turned on. Why don't you suit up and play his position since you can do so much better and he is so meh? If the coaches see a better player in practice they will play him because they want to keep those big salaries. The backups are always better! What a fan base.
Every player on the team chose LSU over other programs, so what? People shouldn't talk about Greedy or anybody else supplanting Jackson because Jackson was recruited by some big schools? And how is anyone bashing Donte? It's a message board, dude. People discuss and banter over the roster. You might to need to take a step back from the board if you are that bothered by this thread.

Was just one play but Greedy looked pretty smooth on that interception. Looked like he belongs out there and it wouldn't surprise me if he did push for a starting job THIS SEASON.

He never turns around for the ball, but the rant loves Toliver who led the team in PI. Here's the news, all of our dbs can ball out.

I never got that impression but I agree he seems to have average at best coverage skills. Mostly just out athletes guys.

No doubt that Greedy can take that spot and don't sleep on Kary Vincent either!

I no longer have any eligibility.
This is a discussion board. Try to not take things so seriously. It's a place for fans (short for fanatics) to vent and celebrate LSU sports.

If Donte has a decent season and runs a 4.3 he will definitely go in the top 3 rounds. The LSU/DBU reputation will help as well. NFL scouts drool over 40 times every year.

You guys say this like we are discussing an intermural team.

I think he could but that's for the coaches to decide. Jackson could then be put on dime, STs, and possibly offense as well. But again these coaches see them all everyday so, I trust Aranda and Raymond. GT

They don't drool over lack of physicality, and poor technique. Lot of you on here think speed is everything. No doubt it is important, but I'll take a smarter, very slightly slower player with heart and technique.

Wait... we're here saying Tolliver is that much better than Jackson? Meh.

Then we are in trouble...unless you like having recs make catches and drag him several yards.
