I think Yamin would be a much better hitting version of Milazzo

I had a feeling he would be good behind the plate. I like the other 2 guys obviously but Yamin seems to be better defensively. There is a way to let them all play. Put one at first.

Yamin only had 1 pass ball….and Guidry hopped it 5 feet in front of him. You could still put him at catcher, Serna at 1st, Bide DH

This ^^^^

This would be your best defensive and most productive offensive lineup.

You could also rotate Braun(L) and Bide(R) as DH depending on pitching matchups.

That was a wild pitch, not a passed ball.

honestly think even it comes to catching pitchers, right now, Yamin might the best we have.

I agree 100%, he was so confident catching which is not what you see on the other two

Braun played first last Saturday vs Kentucky I was there and I’m pretty sure he played another game early season but can’t recall what game. He doesn’t want to play first that’s been well documented but can’t recall he this year and start in OF next year? If that’s what this team needs I feel certain he would accept the chance to start.

So do you play Braun at first instead of Yamin.

Braun is not a first baseman despite what the rating services have said. Jay has also said they see him as an outfielder, probably because he never played first base in high school.

Can Yamin play first base? He's got a pretty good swing at the plate and he is one heck of a catcher. Kid deserves more playing time based on the few times he's been utilized.
Zack Yorke may have broken all kinds of records at Grand Canyon, but with all those accolades, he has yet to hit a homerun in an SEC game. He seems to strike out more than getting hits, lately. And the errors are beginning to show up in his play at first. Is it time for him to sit for a while? Just wondering?

YAMIN...

No he didn't. He never played in the field. Yorke was the 1B the entire series and never left a game.

Braun in the Kentucky series:
Game 1 - pinch-hit once and left the game
Game 2 - DH the whole game Box score
Game 3 - PH/DH

Yes. Yamin was Dayton's first baseman his sophomore year before transferring here.

Braun was rated as one of the best 1b coming out of HS.

I say give Yamin a shot at first base in the mid week, if he doesnt fit the part put him at either catcher or DH rotating with Cade and put Serna at first. Serna is far more athletic than Yorke and is better at the plate. You can flip flop the DH spot with Bide/Yamin with Braun if we playing left/right matchups.

Or you put Braun and first and rotate the other 3 between catcher and DH

For any of you still thinking this will happen, you aren't paying attention at all.

It's a long season and he's a LHH freshman who can hit with no position. At some point they will have to teach him to play 1B or he will have to transfer like Larson. If youve been paying attention, Serna didn't play 1B in HS either yet they tried it out a couple weeks back. Serna, Bide, and Yamin all bat right handed and (if you've been paying attention) Jay loves LHHs
