Shouldn't you be more concerned if UL-L will be going somewhere to a regional this year?

CPM is only part of the team. this team is comprised of players AND coaches. PM can NOT get LSU out of regional play.

there are more decisive plays that come down to player execution than coaching decisions.

Regional, yes. Super Regional, doubtful.

Yep, we should totally fire the SEC championship coach. Makes perfect sense.

Every great coach in country would be lining up to coach for the University that fires coaches as they win championships.

What humor are you speaking of? I was actually sad that we have such a pathetic fringe band of fans that calls for a coaching change as we're hosting a conference championship trophy.
If you can't see the idiocy in that.....

We have to decide if just making it to Omaha is good enough. I am not saying that we should win it all the time but with the tradition and facilities this team should do better than 2 and q or 1-2. At some point u need to get over the hump. 2009 was a long time ago. It counts but since then we have made 2 trips and went 1-4. We should expect better.

Great point. I misspelled a word. My phone autocorrected. You're right. Let's fire Paul Maineri.

Doesn't change the fact that you're a pathetic fringe fan that whines like a little entitled bitch even as we are HOISTING a championship trophy. Maybe that's sophomoric and minimum wage humor.....I can live with that. What I can't live with is being so pathetic that I even whine when my team is winning championships.

Hey, I hear Mississippi State has an all world new, shiny coach. Maybe you could pull for them. God knows we wouldn't miss your crying

LSU has won more games than any college program the past 5 years
10 programs (with their current hc) have played more cws games than lsu. 2 other programs have played as many. that is absolutely not acceptable for the premier program in the nation. lsu should be as competitive in omaha as anybody, especially over a 7 year period and that has just not been the case.

quote:

the first program to ever earn 6 national seeds in a row
stupidest award ever. seeding is not an accomplishment. why does this have to be explained? it's like saying uk/kansas/unc first program to ever get a 2 seed 6 years in a row. you can't possible think they care about that.

People that want PM fired are fricking idiots
you could have just saved us all some time and typed "i have low standards"

What are you doing to help the LSU baseball program improve other than bitch about it on a message board?

So fire Mainieri if we make Omaha and go 0-2?
if money weren't an issue and depending what the programs superior to lsu do, absolutely. without question. no doubt about it. lsu is not getting an roi commensurate with the investment in the program. it's a facile, objective correlation. lsu is getting outperformed at the cws by too many other programs for too long. "consistent" got miles fired and rightly so.

If he can get to Omaha and win a few games I will eat crow
why would you eat crow for this? it's his own fault he can't get it done. IF he wins some cws games this year, that will only move him up a little depending on what florida/tcu/uva/ucla/vandy/ccu/msu/texas/fsu/unc do there. the converse is that if he doesn't win any cws games and certain other programs do (clemson, osu, ole miss, ark, ok st, cal, kent st, nc st, indiana, uc irvine, ucsb, ttech, ariz st, miami, a&m, csf, lousiville), then he will likely move outside the top 10 in cws wins over an 8 year period. my word why is anyone ok with this?

but but but NATIONAL SEEDS. regular season wins!

Consistently not winning the division got Miles fired. CPM, not so much.

yeah, you're right. the chance to coach the premier program in the nation at the highest level of the sport - NO ONE would want that.

ANY coach with sense would see that pm would be being held accountable for a 10 year period, not for one postseason record.
