How the frick did Bennie Logan fit into a Large?

He Didn't. He looked like he was wearing a bra. the shirt only went down to his first waist.

Yes, on a Helmet sticker. Let Collins wear 18 that way and don't give the jersey to anyone else. Maybe LSU could convince the NCAA to let him wear the actual jersey for his final game in TS. Doubt he can rock it all season long. It is confusing for the D if you've got a guy at the end of the line wearing a number like that.

54 is available. 18 x 3. 3 year starter.

Maclin has 54 on defense.

Maybe instead of a "C" patch, they can sew an "18" patch on his 70 jersey. He is the 18 guy in my mind for next year.

1. No, OL can only wear #s 50-79

2. The #18 thing is stupid.

Why is it stupid? It's a tradition that means something to the players.

Well Devin Gardner wore #98 this yea to pay tribute to Tom Harmon so it's possible, unless LSU has some crazy rule about it.

One thing has nothing to do with the other

98 is an eligible receiver number wore by an eligible receiver

Just like when Heath shuler wore 21

18 is an eligible receiver number and Collins would be in an ineligible position

If Collins can't wear it due to the rules, then Hilliard should get it. Senior who waited his time, was productive when called upon, and never complained about playing time.

If he doesn't get it, I bet Welter gets it.

According to NCAA rule book, Rule 1 Section 4 Article 1 recommends numbering as follows for offensive players;
Backs 1–49
Snapper 50–59
Guard 60–69
Tackle 70–79
End 80–99
Otherwise all player must be numbered 1–99, the NCAA makes no stipulation on defensive

So yes, he can wear 18

The NFL has the eligible receivers jersey number rule - not the NCAA.

No, he can not wear #18.

The offensive line must include 5 players numbered 50-79. Since he is an OL, he is required to have an OL number.

And yes, the NCAA has the same rule - 1-49 and 80-99 are eligible numbers.
