Exactly. This thread is comical. If you believe the kicker can kick it out of the end zone but he is instructed not to then you are mentally ill.

I like Miles, but if he's telling these guys to squib instead of booting it out of the end zone then he needs to be bitch slapped.

Which leads me to believe they can't. or can't on a consistent basis. We've seen 9 years of kickers putting it out the back of the end zone. Les has not all of a sudden changed his mind.

Exactly

We do not have the legs. I watched domingue's kicks and he's giving it everything. He honestly could probably get it there 30% of the time if he lowered his trajectory.

Well, if he lowers his trajectory any lower, he will quite possibly take the head off of someone on the front line. At least Gamble kicks the ball high with hang time. Domingue kicks a low, crooked, short line drive.

Gamble definitely needs a lower angle.

That's what I was thinking too, except for all the people saying that he is coached to kick it high and inside the 5, to force a runback and possibly pin them inside the 20 yard line.

Quite honestly, I don't know what to think anymore. It just doesn't make any sense. At the end, we were onside kicking it to their 40-45 yard line. Domingue wasn't mis-kicking. He was clearly squib, onside type kicking. Why would we not at least kick it far and out of bounds? At least they only get it to the 35, and have no chance of any return. And it seems like no one has an explanation for that.

Gamble must be a head case. His only good kick against East Michigan was when someone held the ball on the tee.

That is absolutely what we have done in the past. I remember Miles specifically saying that.

That's like a band aid on a sucking chest wound. We need a kicker (or 2), gunners, wedgebusters, bombers, spears - all of it.

Does anyone, anywhere ever pooch kick it the entire game? I honestly thought Les was trying to keep the game close because he felt bad because of the flooding in SC
