D1 was reporting Wicker too. Likely Rodgers was Moscona’s source

Of course KR was Matt’s source.

Bad look for both.

I think it was the other way around, but I don't have anything to substantiate that.

I was thinking that Moscona’s source for this was the same guy that would give him starting pitching info the morning of game 3’s throughout the year but I have nothing to back that up

Lanky kid, my memory is that he was pretty solid against us.

I know this won’t be welcomed in this circle jerk but 7 hits over 4 IP isn’t what I or anyone else that isn’t simply excited about getting a transfer target would consider “solid”

I’ve never understood a guy that claims he isn’t there to break news, that is always trying to be first and break news. He can’t help himself.

Being out of market means that it's very little effort to ignore Moscona, since it actually take some effort to hear his bullshite. So I don't know the details on this.

I actually do listen to Hunt. I have listened to Musso in the past, but his inability to get peoples names right and his awful takes made me stop.

I really like Hunt. Moscona didn’t do it every week but there were several times the morning of a game 3 he would text somebody and ask someone who was starting and was usually right. But then again, he also emphatically proclaimed that Coleman wouldn’t start in the SEC tournament, then Coleman started the very next game.

Well hopefully KR learned his lesson this time and will fact check anything coming from him.

I listen to Hunt only. Musso and Muskyano are not my cup of tea.

It's a sad commentary that the actual reporters with actual access can frick this up by just not sending a text or making a phone call.

Wicker's phone number is in his fricking twitter bio.

They all went off of shitty initial reporting and instead of confirming anything, they participated in the echo chamber.

I’m just imagining Jay reading headlines this morning about Wicker committing and thinking to himself “interesting. We haven’t even offered him” as he is on the phone with Cowan

I wonder if they just had the wrong pitcher and didn’t verify like you said.

No they had a full writeup, with both pitchers in it. I refreshed, then the change showed up.

Maybe the player wanted to tell coaches and family first. Never know. I remember a couple LSU football players, both waiting till weeks after signing day. One of my coaching friends was calling me for updates. It was between two SEC schools, he was coaching at the other SEC school.

Ok. I’m not sure what you think I’m trying to say.
