That's not true at all.
TCU's DBs are pretty good and had good coverage most of the night (with some uncalled PIs).
Mett was very accurate.
Agree. TCU had some tight coverage all night. Other than a few here and there. There were a lot of throws that were right where they had to be and a few smart decisions to throw away when needed.
Just goes to show how different people can see the same plays differently. Good offensive performance as a whole, and lets not forget that TCU has a damn fine defense.

I miss the short-side option.

I also am impressed with Cam Cameron's first game as LSU's offensive coordinator. Other than LSU's struggles in the red zone early on, I thought LSU did a great job of moving the football, especially against a renowned defense like TCU. Mettenberger looked sharp, and when given time in the pocket, he made some very accurate throws. I was also very impressed with Terrance Mcgee and how he ran the football, I hope to see a lot more of him during the season. The game was a nail-biter up until the last few minutes, but overall a great performance by the Tigers against a tough opponent, and I hope the offense and defense continues to perform well!

The offensive line was great in pass protection. That made everyone else look good. No toss dive, and a few end arounds was definitely a fresh look. Tcu sold out against the run and mett made them pay.

You are about to get hammered for the comment on the play calling. Just a friendly warning. The rantards were out in force during the game on the score board saying just the opposite.
Whoever thinks that offense was not impressive last night is a moron. When is the last time LSU closed out a game by holding on to the ball for the last 5 minutes of a game against a quality opponent?
I am one who railed against the offense the past 3 or 4 years and I was impressed.

There is no in between to those types, so the best thing to do is ignore them and let them have their little pity party.

Mett didn't look like the 6th best quarterback in the sec, he looked like the best quarterback in a league full of them. Cam's influence on Mett and this offense was just amazing to watch.

This was the biggest thing I took from the game. Very pleased with the protection.
I just want 1 fricking game without a false start.

Was a little scared it was gonna be the same ole song when the first 6 plays went run, run pass, run, run, pass.
But all of a sudden, I didn't recognize this offense, mainly because Cam cleaned up Mett's stance, accuracy, and decision-making.
Mett played the best game I have ever seen him play, and that includes his second half performance against Bama last year.
Of Met's 32 throws, I counted only 4 errant/"bad" throws that you can attribute to him. He also smartly threw away or grounded the ball when necessary, so he should have been 24 of 32 (75%) if it had not been for uncalled PI's, drops, or exceptional CB deflections which dropped it to 50%. He was accurate and made good decisions which has not been a trademark of an LSU QB in the last 5 years.
That back-shoulder throw to OBJ had one NFL writer tweeting out it was the best throw he had seen all day in 12 hours of football watching.

Mettenburger is a first round talent.

Nope. Our knucklehead coach pribably cost us 1 or 2 NCs during that stretch, and for sure 2 to 3 BCS bowl wins
Plus, no telling how much was lost in natl perception with media and recruits
And before you bitch about our great recruiting classes, how many offensive players have landed on NFL rosters since 09?
