We got the better end of that deal. We don’t have to freeze in that communist shithole.

Trust me, Canada and Nova Scotia is far better than Louisiana at this moment.

Cajuns are good people . LSU needed a complete overhaul yes it is messy but the JBE group was leading LSU down the wrong path. The BR society people have always hated Lafayette

Cajun governors are the exception, not the rule in the long miserable history of Louisiana governance. Less than 10 percent of those who’ve held the office are Cajun.

T e whole situation looks bad from the governor on down. The new university president seems to have stumbled out of the gate, not to mention there are concerns that he didn’t have the depth to be the President of LSU but we had to pick one of us (seems to work so well). Picking an AD that really no one would want at any institution but he’s one of us.

I say I live in Houston but have a house on Lake Conroe. Most people don’t know the difference. I’ve also live in the Heights before then before retiring.
I guess people from the Rice Village, West University or Memorial or River Oaks areas would call it “ghetto”. Lots of areas in the Houston city limits that are not “ghetto”. Believe or not, Alief was a nicer area to live before the early 80’s oil crash. I grew up in Houston and have lived in so many places in and around the area.
The second ward has expanded to nicer buildings as well as west of the city since they added the trains. More young adults without kids are living in those areas for the commute in.

Yep…. That’s what happens when you give multi-trillion dollar businesses 99% tax exempt status so they don’t go elsewhere
