That only shows what an a-hole Lester was before he was fired for cause.

I suppose that's one possibility.
I am thinking, however, Orgeron knows what he's doing and players responded. That's why players want him back!

Actually-- my pick would have been Herman. Don't judge a man by his name on a fan site or by his accent-- in this instance you'd be wrong.

Everybody wants what they are familiar with, but it is the job of those that are supposed to do what is best for the University making the decisions. Unfortunately, we have 3 stooges disciples in decision making positions at LSU.

Especially Fournette. He loved the way Les and Cam called the Offense

With all sincerety, Herman lost way too many games this year that he was supposed to win. That easily offsets the good wins for me. He wasn't good enough for me. JMO

All coach has to do is win 8 games a year, keep telling the fans what they want to hear, and keep recruiting up and he could retire from LSU in 20 years.

If UT doesn't open up and LSU offers he would have been here. I'd rather have our present situation.

Exactly why did Orgeron leave here as a student athlete after only a few weeks?

I agree with you on that point. However, ranking 0 as a top three candidate when nothing in his past warranted that rating is absurd for anyone reasonably intelligent.

Even this year at LSU, he did nothing but take the wheels off of the dragster he was given and again, proved what we all knew...LSU had significant experienced talent and Miles was a stubborn idiot.

I understand that concern. It grew in my mind, too. However I had concerns about O also. Just goes to show that reasonable minds can differ. But-- O is LSU's coach. I have no worries that he will recruit very well. And should LSU not win and compete for championships-- the next coach will have talent on the roster. Geaux Tigers.

Wait it isn't true? Go back and look at the "predict the record" threads, 8 or 9 wins was from the majority.

So #NextYearU remains...

In the real world coaches, agents, professionals, and administrators negotiate. In Joe Alleva's world LSU's football program isn't worth it. Somehow he has also managed to convince part of the fan base the program isn't worth the effort.

O would not have been in my top 3. But, some placed him there based upon what they saw while he was interim. We can argue all day about whether that was right or not based upon competition, Bama game, etc.

As it stands, I like the changes he made with staff and the new hires. Sure-- we may have to worry about OC and D.C. every few years. But O is not the idiot he is made out to be by some. I'm willing to wait and see. I'm also willing to cheer the wins and call for his head if LSU does not perform. I'm not willing to keep complaining months after the decision was made. Geaux Tigers.
