I think he is just referring to some of the things said about Lee on this board. I mean they are borderline outrageous and unfair, in my opinion. It is a very tough situation for JL to come in and play without any game experience.

How did Byrd play the first half of last season. I don't remember Flynn calling out young receivers when they ran the wrong route or dropped passes.
Byrd needs to pattern his game after Reggie Wayne and not TO.

how? I guess he was overthowing himself by 20 yards.

Serious question: Should Byrd have caught the ball last week that ended up being the first interception?
Let's not take into consideration the play call or the down and distance...It is a yes or no question.

Yes, he should have. Byrd has also made countless big plays over the past two years while Lee has gotten worse as he goes along. Its the coaches fault for the shitty playcalling and not benching him, though.

He may not have "called them out", but he certainly wasn't shy about going over to them on the sideline and telling them in no uncertain terms to get their shite together.
How is that any different than the receivers this year being visibly frustrated after interceptions, which is what the people in this thread are using as examples of them being bad leaders.
Lee had a nearly impossible task to step in this year, and his mistakes are beginning to take on a life of their own now with the unbelievable number of pick sixes that don't really have an explanation.
Its no surprise that everyone on the sideline looks frustrated. But that doesn't mean the team has no leaders.

To a certain extent, I agree with you..We really needed this Troy game in September so it would serve as a "building" block. But we lost the game and it did kind of throw off our season.
But, oh well, I really feel Lee is going to finish the season strong these last three games!

its hateful to think that Byrd has been playing better than Jarrett Lee?

I have watched Moss and Welker pick up Cassell all year long in NE after Brady went down. That is what leaders and Pros do. If Bryd wants to be a pro he better learn it cuz he is no Moss. Maybe he can go to Colts next year and after he drops a couple he can make his "jokes" to the media about Manning.

I think D. Byrd needs to worry about catching the F'ing football, and not throwing his redshirt fresh. QB under the bus!
Just a thought.

point out that he should have caught the first INT last year. And don't give me that "the ball was behind him" shite...it hit both of his hands in a catchable position.
It was far behind him. Whenever WRs go over the middle of the field, you have to hit them in stride because they are always worried they will get Jacked Up. It was a bad throw.

a byrd in the hand is worth alot of more than lee

Don't apply for the next level if you are not ready to go over the middle, catch the ball, and get jacked.

Actually receivers like throws over the middle to be low or a little behind so they DON'T get jacked up by running full stride into the hit.

You may disagree with me, but there's no reason to call me an idiot...especially when you just call me an idiot and don't explain why you think I'm an idiot. Please cite why I'm an idiot.
