If his psyche is that fragile, imho he shouldn't be in there. Let him watch the game from the sideline until he's comfortable. I'm not saying dog lee out but maybe try and pump him up with a little yelling wouldn't hurt.

That's the coaches' job, in my opinion.

Again, do you not think that could be directed at Crowton, at least in part?

Yeah...but that's almost even worse..a kid calling out his coach through the media. I wish these things would be handled behind closed doors.

I hear what you're saying. But its not like its a secret that SOMETHING is wrong with our O.

He's just making the statement that Lee needs to be kept in his comfort zone or bad things will happen. That's all.

He just said it in a funny way. That's just his personality.

Fair enough.

Can you imagine if this team had a consistent passing game? Holy cow! LSU would almost be unstoppable.

It really would. I really think its a shame that with weapons like Byrd, LaFell, and Tolliver that our passing game has been the weak link.

More like leadership period. Starting with Miles throwing Byrd under the bus.

One of the things I always admired about the majority of LSUs WRs was that their play on the field was matched by their "quality character"....

Most recently guys like Bowe and Doucet seemed to show a great deal of class... There was a level of maturity that doesn't seem to be there now. Hardships develop character - Bowe struggled with his sight and Doucet with injury... How is Byrd's situation so much more difficult that he take jabs at a teammate through the meadia? Another T.O. or Chad OchoCinco in the making...

Again I guess the "Senior Leadership" comes into play.

While what he says is true and even mildly humorous, he shouldn't have said that. I think that Byrd is a being an arse for saying it. He should be supporting his teamates and doing all he can to help the team win. I think Mr. Byrd is not a team player. He's selfish and is in this all for himself. He's also a little bratty momma's boy. He is not a leader and shouldn't be a starter for saying such things out loud.

Seriously, that isn't fair. Byrd is one of the more popular players on the team for his laid back style.

Again, he was just stating the obvious, that everyone needs to do their part to keep Lee comfortable or bad things will happen.

He just said it in his comical style that makes him so popular with the other players.

Take it easy. He's a good teammate.

Byrd needs to show more maturity than this.

I am dissapointed in him. I hope Lee gets better and shows him.

He's just speaking his mind. He's a playmaker and isn't getting the ball, frankly he should be upset. And just because he's making the comment doesn't mean he's about himself or the money maybe just maybe he wants to win and Lee's not helping the cause right now.
Can you honestly say the byrd is doing a whole lot more than Lee? I dare say that with comments like this he's doing a whole lot more harm than good, for him, Lee and the team overall.

I'm not Lee's dad.

I recognize that Lee's play hasn't been very good. But it is an unfair situation for himself and the team. It is asking a lot to win and play at a high level as a RS Freshman in the SEC for the defending champions.

I mean, can you imagine the pressure this kid is under? The fan base and his fellow teammates should support him instead of taking shots at him.

That's my only point. I am open to other opinions..I'm not going to sit here and call people idiots because they don't agree with me..

Are you that fricking hateful? Lee is a red shirt freshman who has shown the ability to get things done. He's done some good for this team and of course has done some bad things. The fact that he has all those pic 6's is not totally his fault. A lot of it is bad luck, and poor attempts at tackling from his offensive teammates.
