Not a heavy poster, obviously. Just curious, even though it was Ohio, how is Burrow's dad thought of among the college scene as a coach? Any chance he could be hired after the season? I'm sure he's built up good rapport with the staff.

Analyst, position coach, etc. Not DC, obviously.

His dad will never have to work another day in his life. His son is about to hit the lottery. I would imagine he will act as an consultant for joe and receive a nice salary.

He retired to watch Joe at LSU, why the hell would he go back to work and have to miss Joe in the NFL?

If Joe got drafted by the saints and they moved down here I’d love to hire him as a defensive analyst.

And his son is giving him one hell of a retirement gift.

It did cross my mind that he coulve helped out as a defensive analyst this year, but I guess he'd rather just relax and watch his son. Cant blame him for that.

He retired so he could watch his son play. With the way this year has gone I suspect he may want to continue to watch his son play next year...as the likely #1 overall draft pick

Was waiting for this response. Having lurked for several years, I'm actually surprised it wasn't the first reply.

Just like Press Maravich. That’s how we got joe in the first place.

Yup, his job is to follow and watch his son plays wherever it is and receives a nice consultant salary. Never has to work a real job again.

In hind sight it probably would have worked out fine with the Burrows, but there are a million things that could go wrong hiring a Qb's dad
