And I doubt the "positive spin" bothers anyone, but when a person comments to buckeye joe's positive spin concerning Burrow, and those comments don't place Burrow on a pedestal, ole joe goes off on said poster.
Buckeye joe is the only one to blame for the shite he receives here.

Considering that it seems like a prerequisite that any Heisman contender’s team have an outstanding season for them to be considered, and that this is the best preseason setup in recent history for LSU to make the CFP, it’s only logical that Joe should be fairly high on that list.
Still, it’s really nice to see an LSU QB there!

Everyone here actually likes Joe Burrow. But with Buckeye it's impossible to have a rational conversation about the guy because he takes everything too far when it comes to Burrow..
Buckeye thinks Burrow is the best QB in the country, though I guess he does have a limit to how much humiliation he's willing to endure because he won't actually say it.

Burrow may be a great fit in one NFL team's scheme, and not fit well in another. Same with all QBs coming out of college.
IMO, Burrow will absolutely be a Top-5 QB pick, and as such will get a good shot at significant playing time.

I understand that and don't think there's anything wrong with it. It's exciting that a member of the LSU football team is getting some Heisman attention. Just like it was exciting when Leonard Fournette was getting the same attention.
All I said was, in my opinion, it's nothing more than a popularity contest. And nothing screams that more (at least to me) than Bo Jackson saying he was going to vote for whatever Bama player (Derrick Henry) won it a few years back because he felt that it should be won by a player in the state of Alabama.

All I said was, in my opinion, it's nothing more than a popularity contest.
What interested me more was the Vegas oddsmakers' analysis. Vegas is hiring the best to hedge their odds prior to the public coming in and controlling the odds with millions in bets.
A bad opening line can cost casinos big bucks. It will be interesting to see the Heisman odds at about mid-September. Like after the Vandy game.
