I think the main goal will be get guys who can contribute early and fill all the gaps with transfer portals.

You’ll keep guys like Hellmers who are just happy to be at LSU but won’t keep guys from Texas who want something more than contributing as a RS Sr.

It's like a spring signing day every day. I like that aspect of it.

Not sure why the OP was down-voted so heavily. That's what CJJ said.

As for continuity from year-to-year, that's going to be tricky to navigate. IMO, unless players are getting meaningful ABs and innings in the field as a Fr and certainly into the Soph years, they are not going to stick around even if from LA.

UTenn is kind of the pace car over the last 4 seasons (1 natty, 3 nat'l seeds, 3 trips to Omaha). But our roster approach is not that different from theirs.

They had 15 in-state players w/ 8 transfers this year. We had 11 in-state players and 10 transfers this year. In '23, we had 15 in-state players and 7 transfers.

Where I think things broke down for us this year is there were a handful of players who needed to take the next step who didn't (Kling, Neal, and Pearson) and two others who regressed (Bingham and Trav). That's a lot of collective disappointment TBH.
