Miles probably said that you analyze the last part because there isnt much that can be analyzed from the first half.

The team just didnt show up and play in the first half. Its hard to analyze it when the effort isnt there to show you what you truly did wrong.

Im sure Miles just meant it as what we should analyze and not what he and the coaches would do because I guarantee they will go over it all.

The most telling about that interview is When BL says that he asked Miles, on sunday morning when you look at the tape. What tells you more about your team, the 31-3 drumming in the first 3 quarters or the 37-0 comeback. Miles said "Alwayse the part that makes victor". BL said to Bill King, the ex coach would of never said that. What that tells me is Miles doesn't have the mentality to dominate or improve.

He knows what the deal is...it's just what he said in response to a reporter's question. The 31-3 caught his attention.

Well, I mean, there has to be some point where you cut out the Mr. Nice Guy routine.
Not so sure about that. I've worked with many in leadership positions. Always interesting how they react to a crisis. Some just don't show their hand but do immediately get to work in solving the problem(s).

People can badmouth the fans all they want, but you can't brainwash folks and what we saw in the first half of that game was disturbing. And people don't have to cool with it.

Folks can spin it, twist it, chop it, sautee it, I don't give a shite.....nobody wants to see the boss of the football team with a big fricking smile on his face after having to come back against a team like Troy. Folks know better.

Most folks know better, but you've got that arsekisser cheerleader element that don't mind the smiles. They don't mind anything they see. . They will continue to worship every LSU coach, player and administrator no matter how bad things get. All the realistic things that most fans/alumni see are just swept under the rug. Can't talk about it because all that's too negative. Loses, pitiful defense, pick6's and early warning signs of a program decline don't phase them. All is well. Let the excuses and sugar coating fly..........

Playing Ole Miss will be a great opportunity to see if there has been actual improvement in many areas. On the field and on the sidelines.

I agree. Saturday could have been a turning point not only in the season, but in the next few years of the program. We'll have to see how we come out Saturday. Had we not come back, I think Ole Miss beats us pretty soundly. Now, I think we'll win. Either way, it makes Saturday much, much more exciting than if we'd have lost.

It does make it more interesting. OM will hit us with a better O than Troy. I don't see a W for us b/c of Malleveto but as always I am hoping.

Yeah, I agree. And how sad is that that so many LSU fans are expecting a home loss to Ole Miss? It shows how much confidence we have in the defensive coaching staff that's for sure.

Well, at least the team has confidence and that is all that will matter cuz you don't matter.

The defense has confidence in their coaching staff?

There have been some defensive players quoted throughout the year saying things that certainly make you wonder how much confidence they have in their coaches....That coupled with their obvious frustration on the field (waving to the sidelines for them to hurry with the play call and such) that it is a cause for concern.

I have not heard that in awhile about the signals. That was early in the season. It was not saying that they did not have confidence in the coaches either, just that it was an issue with running the defense during those early games.

"This was not a, 'Boy they came roaring back, but you know what fell a little short,'" Miles said. "No they came roaring back to win. That's the piece you take - the final score and the very strong need that the team had to have victory. It's a great day. And I'm going to kiss my wife and spank my kids and have a lot of fun."

He sounds pretty excited about it. Are Miles' standards slipping a little?

Lazarre is an annoying hack. I value his opinion less than glenn guilbeau's
