Eh

Field goal kicking was great but punting and punt returns was pretty average.

And which part is more important?

The punt returns were fine. Palmer just never did anything with them.

People act like punts get returned for tds all over the sec. It rarely happens.

You haven't had to worry about special teams since he's been here.

This guy is going to be recruiting position players like no other ST guy we've had. He was primary on Jimmy Clausen, Manti Teo and Dayne Crist heh.

I give McMahon credit for bringing in some great FG kickers. Our return teams sucked under him. Don't recall many punt blocks etc.

Agreed

Our punt return team had to be one of the worst in the nation (other than not dropping the ball). Our blocking for those returns was awful. Return man never had room to get going. Wonder the longest return we had this year was? I also wonder what the longest kickoff return we had was.

We were fine in punting and kickoffs, but we had zero return game for the last few years.

As long as we keep Coach Chris, we're good.

Yes, he's taking the job, but - deep down - he really doesn't want to work with Brian Kelly.

It certainly helps your special teams when your kicker is Cade York. He would make any of us look good. Pretty much every other aspect has been average at best. Cade will still be Cade, doesnt matter who the STC is.

I don’t think we had a kick or punt return for six since that Patrick Peterson video.

it was almost always fair catch same with punt returning. Just didn't see any strategy in the return game.

No returns because punter had all day to punt. We did not put any pressure on punters and this was on film all year. So teams new this and relaxed the punter to focus on technique.
