Genuinely agree with OP. I was moderately skeptical when he was hired but I’m a believer now. He’s not Saban, but he’s got most of the same attributes that make an elite coach. His recruiting will determine if we are mainly a Top-12ish playoff team most years or a legit contender year in and year out.

Saban was best "coach", but he was only here a few seasons.
Miles had the best tenure, fans are rabidly opposed to him now. But he sets the bar: about a decade, 2 national title game appearances with 1 title, 3 SEC title games with 2 SEC titles, best season 13-1 (Orgeron has a 15-0), worst season had 8 wins, averaged 10+ a season.
If Kelly can match Miles' record and not embarrass the fanbase, he's the winner.
