If success at the FCS level translated 1-to-1 to major CFB, you'd see a lot more coaches jump. Managing a major college program is a different animal.
Also, younger BK was probably a lot more hungry. Old BK jokes about his gig as HC taking away from his golf outings.

Are you going to mention the fact that more than half of your list is guys in which it was their first time as a head coach and Brian Kelly has been a head coach since 1991?
