I’d love to go back to the days of Capones, Casanova & Hodsons playing for the love of LSU but those days are gone. We better get serious about NIL or be in serious trouble.

Same here.
Back in the day we played almost all night football. Great ooc games were played at hone. TV timeouts didn’t ruin the flow of the game. Charlie Mac did well, but he wasn’t paid ten million dollars to coach. Season ticket holders sat with the same fans year after year. Each section did their thing.

All that is gone.

The athletes are entitled to make money on their NIL

I think the point is student athletes is diminishing along with money buying players and the wealthy team's separation from the pack

You know what would fix all of this…. Requiring a 3.0 or above GPA in a legit curricula. Make these student athletes ACTUAL STUDENT ATHLETES instead of minor league NFL players.

Anyone who thought that NIL would not be used as leverage in recruiting is a fool.

NOBODY is against NIL or players getting paid. We are just against stupid people like you …”

I was at a function a couple of weeks ago and met a retired college football coach (who has a national championship to his credit). I asked him about NIL - he said he favors the concept, but the present program needs a lot of work.

You met Coach O? Lol

Nope, guess again.

Spot on. Paid mercenaries going to higher bidder. Transfer lunacy. Most are not ‘student’ athletes. NFL minor league.

Yep, the crooks have moved in on collegiate football.

The NCAA is the NFL's bitch.

Professional athletes have contracts, they can't just screw around their organization every few months or bolt.

These coaches that you act like have been doing what players are doing now have NEVER acted this way. They have buyouts and contracts. Sure they bolt and move all the time but it cost millions of dollars in buyouts.

It's a 1-year contract. Just like scholarships.

People should have realized this from day one. The fans as I have said before are the ones that are getting screwed. Bad part is we pay the bill. simple as that!!
