So. He didn't get fired for performance at Kansas. Les is far superior to BK. BK can't win first games or get LSU to the playoffs even with an expanded field.

do you think Les Miles and Ed Orgeron was 1st class?

Orgeron, no. Les? He was better here than Kelly has been. So if Kelly is considered 1st class, Miles is ahead of him on that list. Kelly's wins came at directional schools and ND, who plays 6-8 wins every year. Miles is the best coach in our history in terms of production. Miles>Kelly easy

__________

This could be true, but are you defending his record there? How does his time there help your case that he is better than BK?

Les Miles is a superior x's and o's coach compared to BK. In fact, he's a better coach period.

Miles was first class with Saban’s roster. After that, he had 1 special season.

I like Kelly; he had a huge blind spot when it came to his 1st staff. Set them back at least 2 years.

It seems pretty obvious why. I can’t blame him for not trusting anything that was here the way the wheels completely came off from the 2019 offseason to O’s firing. In hindsight he went too far, but I still don’t blame him.

People bring up Baker and Raymond, but it’s a good thing for us right now that neither was retained. For Baker, he was a year off taking the fall for Miami’s bad defense and being fired. If he had been retained, it wouldn’t have been as a DC. He would have just been an LB coach. There is no way in hell a new head coach makes him the DC from that position. Him going to Mizzou and proving himself is why he has the job he does now.

As for Raymond, I don’t believe we have the version we have of him today without the time away. As bad as the results were on both sides in that 2023 season, we got a hungry Raymond back here delivering results like his peak over a decade ago.
