True or not, you are basing this on nothing.

I would say a 6th year QB has a strong advantage in learning a new system. I’m pulling for him

Oh yea? Averaging over 350 passing yds per game in his 3 starts is called folding under pressure? Lolol

Boy I’d love to know what he could do if he didn’t

He averaged less yards per pass attempt than Feliepe Franks that season.

You better go back and watch the 3 games he started. He was under pressure what seemed like almost every drop back and still absolutely shredded defenses in all 3 games. When you consider he had like 8 sacks in the Miss game alone you'll understand nobody should be able to succeed under those conditions yet statistically he did amazing. Not only that he had even more pressure on him because his defense was historically awful. Terrible post. You don't know football.

Brennan is the only reason you were in those games. He carried the team and got hit often on dropbacks. He had zero run game help. His defense was historically bad. Awful Oline. Jesus you people are stupid. Even Tom Brady is going to have bad moments with that kind of pressure he was getting.

He had 11 Tds, 3 ints, 1112 yards, raked up 130 points and a 154 rating in a 3 game span against 3 SEC teams. Considering the circumstances those stats are incredible because that team was MUCH worse at the beginning than the end of the season.

Stop using buzzwords like "shredded" to try and make it sound better than it actually was.

Again... Feliepe Franks had a higher pass yards per attempt average despite having a bigger sample size.

Stop scouring the internet for selective stat comparisons in order to prove your case. The bottom line is he put up 370 yards passing per game, over 3TDs per game and 39 points per game. Now compare that to Felipe Franks if you’re being honest and objective.

You want me to stop looking at stats?

Based on yards per attempt, Feliepe Franks would've put up similar numbers if he was in LSU's offense... that's how stats work.

“You want me to stop looking at stats? “

Straw man

“Feliepe Franks would've put up similar numbers if he was in LSU's offense... that's how stats work”

No it isn’t how that works and that’s been proven dozens of times here including last year when this same silly argument was made then debunked when reality hit.

I don't give a shite about Franks. Those are facts with Brennan in the game. That's about as shredded as you can get on a defense in a 3 game span which is why it was on a record pace at LSU. LSU scored 130 points in that 3 game span what more would you consider shredding a defense when LSU is scoring over 40 points a game especially considering the pressure the defenses were getting to him with no run game help?

Nobody should be able to succeed in those conditions that LSU had. Burrow would find instances where he'd struggle if he played for that same team considering how bad the line was. You can't be superman every play. I don't think you realize how bad that team was when Brennan was at the helm. The team Max Johnson had at the end of the year was not the same team Brennan had. They were bad all year but chemistry came together much better by the end.

Between being one-dimensional and a bad Oline, sure is easier to play defense in those situations.

That’s a lot of yards, points and tds. And that absolutely means something. But one can’t just discount the number of turnovers the defense forced, the number of pass attempts, 3rd down conversion etc. By you saying “the bottom line is”, and then just pointing to positive things, is doing the same thing they are.

You’re right and I’m not disregarding those things except for this 3rd down conversion thing but I said bottom line because in the end the QB needs to move the ball and score points above all. Yes it’s an important stat but it’s a team stat. We had a lot of 3rd and short running plays where we didn’t convert but somehow, in order to bash Brennan, people pretend that doesn’t exist. We also had a lot of situations where Brennan converted those on 4th down and completed 3rd and longs short of the sticks then converted those on 4th down. The latter happened 3-4 times in one game so if we’re being honest this 3rd down thing was created as a cudgel by Brennan bashers.

With one of the worst OL's in 20 years he passed for over 300 yards a game in his first 3 starts. So ya, you don't know jack shite about football.

I pray this competition does not turn out like the Ohio State competition between Burrow and Haskins. It is painfully obvious who was the better man at that school. I believe we all know why the coach went with Haskins. It certainly wasn't for the content of his character.
