“ playing a scheme he’s played since high school“

If you were right about Brennan you wouldn’t need to make shite up like this blatant fallacy.

Brennan's main problem was holding on to the ball too long. He knows what he did wrong and will fix it. If he doesn't, next man up.

That happened last year as well. Burrow was a master of escaping and finding someone to get the ball to.

345 and 3 Tds

In an eerie empty stadium with an oline that looked spooked and overmatched. With a defense that awkwardly surrendered 600+ yards. Yeah, Brennan sucked alright.

In 2018, Joe Burrow's first year as a starter versus MS State on 10/20: 16/28, 1 int, 0 TDs.

LSU defense held MState to 3 (three) points. Now, what's the difference to the 2020 game?

He looked like a guy starting his first college game. Not unusual at all. The stats actually tell us that he can be productive.

For those blaming him, trust me, you haven’t seen bad.

The defense lost this one

That’s also an appropriate description of Myles football career since he enrolled at LSU just after his high school graduation in May 2017. As a QB who rarely played under center in high school, he had to do so as a true LSU freshman learning an offense of a freshly hired coordinator who believed a playbook loaded with formation shifts and motion was the way to conquer SEC defenses

Then as a sophomore in a more traditional LSU offense coordinated by a former Tigers’ starting quarterback, Myles was redshirted when he was edged for the starting QB vacancy by an Ohio State graduate transfer who enrolled three months before the season opener.

Last season after a first-year hotshot passing game coordinator installed concepts that were in Myles wheelhouse, he played in 10 games as again backup to that Ohio State import named Joe Burrow, who won the Heisman Trophy after throwing an NCAA record 60 touchdowns for the 15-0 Tigers.

He's got 3 more games to show me what he's made of....2 lesser opponents and then Florida . He needs to relax and make quick decisions that have been mostly made up before the ball is snapped..Play calling has got to improve too...5-15 yd passes where our bread and butter last yr...need to return to that mindset..3 more games and then we reassess his play and make decisions from there.

Brennan should have had four touchdowns, as the out-of-bounds call in the end zone on Terrace Marshall was clearly wrong. Marshall made a fantastic catch with a toe in bounds, but the play was not reviewed. Had it been, the original call on the field should have been overruled.

The additions of Stingley and Logan would have made a significant difference defensively, in my opinion, including in the outcome of the contest.

Quarterback play was definitely inconsistent. Brennan clearly has improvement to be made in terms of recognition and decision-making. While his statistical line looks attractive, there were yards and scoring left on the field.

One surprise was the play of sophomore Jaray Jenkins. Brennan seemed to find him with regularity. What I want to see is Brennan “throwing receivers open,” which shall take better recognition and a quicker release of the football. Racy McMath is a 1000-yard receiver waiting to happen (Well, perhaps not in a ten game season).

When the flip did Anthony Jennings ever look like that? You guys really don't remember how bad our qb's have been in the past.

He was bad. You don't understand football if you think he had many positive things in that game. Stats only tell part of the game. That kid was rattled and seeing ghosts. Even with a good pocket and 2+ receivers wide open, he would freak out and end up getting sacked. JUST THROW THE DAMN BALL!!!

YOU’RE THE ONE WHO DOESN’T KNOW shite. As fans, we don’t know who was at fault most of the time. I notice that our two most talented receivers got benched a lot. Why? Could they have been making bad reads and zigging when they should have been zagging? That ruins a QB’s confidence and timing. There is not enough time in a pocket to make up for that. I don’t know if that’s the case, and neither do you.

Brennan does not have Burrow’s preternatural feel for the pocket nor his virtuoso escapability. It should surprise no one that he’s not as good as the GOAT. He has an elite arm, though - far better than Burrow. That throw he made on the quick slant from the left - I believe it was a third down in the second half. It seemed like the center snap bounced off Brennan to the receiver it came out so fast. The pass Marshall dropped at the end was another great throw. There were quite a few.

This season was going to be a rebuild ever since Jamarr, Shelvin and Vincent quit. Stingley and Logan missing was the icing on this week’s cake. I’m going to relax and watch the development of this team, with next season in mind. We should have a very experienced team next year with a seasoned talented QB.
