Kind of a bitch move. He talked a lot about being the team leader and all that in the preseason, well facing the media is part of being the most visible player on the team.

Also, this charade just brings more unnecessary attention to himself.

Right, he "did this" in hopes that Rosetta would post a speculative tweet to get himself more attention.

It's official. The rant can use anything to get their jimmies rustled over.

I'm not talking about Rosetta at all, I'm just talking about shying away from doing interviews, where for the most part, the BR media just lob softball question after softball question.

Oh, so it's your call as to how a team leader chooses to lead?

So according to you, Larry Bird is the worst leader in the history of sports?

normally i would agree but frick the media...the dude is 19 years old and in college. imo, it is much different than a professional athlete.

plus, how much media coverage do the baseball players really face?

could it be that he wants to focus more on the game and the team instead of randy rosetta? Talking to the media has NOTHING to do with being a leader.

Exactly, he want's to focus on baseball right now.

Dealing with the media comes with the territory of LSU baseball.

Umm, he is kinda right. You nor nobody else that isnt associated with the team has no clue what this team needs in terms of leadership.

What if he is making a point to the team that he is getting back to baseball. That until they start playing like it, they dont deserve any of the perks of Lsu baseball(media attention, popularity etc. Get back to what got them there, hardwork and focus. Or maybe a guy like you who isnt on the team and has no idea can come in and say what needs to be done

He wasn't slumping last year. Eventually all the pressure is bound to add up, he's still a kid contrary to the belief of many of you.
I like the move personally. It shows that CPM & Bregs recognize the problem and are trying something different to fix it...that's really all you can ask. He'll come out of it soon & take up all the responsibilities of leadership again when he does.

It's his right not to talk to the media. I'm sure he's getting asked the same damn questions over and over. Right now he doesn't have the answer, he's trying to figure it out himself.

i'm sure bregman is sorry that he is breaking a social norm and not allowing twitter nation to follow him and listen to him respond to softball questions with bs responses.

it is a dog and pony show that some people enjoy i guess

Solid misuse of "Ad Hominem" bro.

Talking to the media isn't a necessary condition to being a leader. Which is what you stated. That's what I was getting at. Not talking to the media for a week or two doesn't automatically make him a questionable leader. You don't know dick about what goes on behind the scenes (neither do I), so stop making blanket assumptions about Bregman because of this.
