Change the batting order based on the UCLA game?

No. Jacoby has been hitting the ball really well the last half of the year. He should have been moved up in the lineup. With the way him and Laird have been hitting, they should be #1 and #2 or at least have Jones earlier than the 8th hole.

whats terrible is that PM doesnt make any adjustments. at least switch things up but i guess he would rather ride the ship all the way to the ground

You're right - if only he would do something like...I don't know maybe put a FR in at SS in the middle of the year, or put a FR in at 2B and take your 2B and put him in left field replacing the stud LF who made acrobatic catches in the previous years Super Regional, or put a FR in center field - twice in 2 different years even, or something crazy like maybe moving a guy up to clean up in the order in the 3rd game of a pivotal 3 game series far away from the Box.

Yea, he doesn't make adjustments.

Original poster had it right: 0 for 24. Can't win with it.

Ibarra didn't do anything wrong until his last at bat. He should have known he wasn't going to get anything to hit.

Stat pretty much says it all. Pretty terrible for our middle of the order guys. At least Ibarra hit it hard half of his at bats.

Yes. And, if you add in McMullen (up until the 2nd half of this game), you've got real problems.

1,3,5, and 6 slumping is going to kill you.

That's the second time you said that.

You think they would have put the tying run on base?

Ibarra got behind in the count, and couldn't lay off the change-up. The thought that he wouldn't have seen a good pitch had he been able to get ahead in the count is flat out stupid.

Maybe the all world ss should try two pair of gloves. Did anyone else notice he didn't wear them all year then wore them then took them off. Just play baseball.....

Look at it this way, Internet guy, you are 0 for 0 in Omaha. Meanwhile, Bregman, Rhymes and Ibarra played their asses off all year to earn the opportunity to go 0 for 24 in Omaha.

How about this instead. Special thanks to Bregman, Rhymes and Ibarra for getting us to Omaha and providing so many exciting games, plays and at bats this year.

I don't even..

I'm not sure where the hostility came from, but I'm obviously not saying I could do it better. I've watched the entire season, and those guys are MUCH better than what they showed this week. But if you want to have a chance at winning the games that really matter, your best hitters need to go better than 0 for 20 something. All I was pointing out, so stfu

We had a great season. Enjoyable to watch too. But at the same time, nobody remembers the regular season #1, only the team that wins the CWS. (unless you're known for that exact thing, see FSU)

Rhymes and all the seniors will forever be tigers and I wish them well in the future

I don't really fault Ibarra. He did hit the ball hard. I prefer the low line drive hits. Ibarra got under his ball a little bit which allowed the outfielder to catch it. A low line drive hit placed properly is a hit on any field.
