Should Bregman be getting more MVP mentions? I know his average is not quite as high as typical MVP’s, but he leads the AL in doubles and top-5 in RBI’s. His average is 12th best. 11th in HRs. Of course Trout is up there, but pretty impressive to look at his stats.

Too many big names at the big brands to get a sniff for Bregs. I agree though that his numbers make him deserve to be considered. I did see an ESPN article mention him recently as one of 7 to consider.

He doesn't have quite the numbers for MVP consideration.

He's gonna be your 2018 world series MVP though

He’s not mvp, but he’s proven to be great. He may be mvp in the future. This is his second full year. He’s still learning. I think he will win it in the next 2-3 years.

Its nuts how good Bregman and Nola are so fast.

Mookie Betts is winning the AL MVP.

Not this year but he has been one of the best players this year.

Bregman's pitch selection is just outstanding

IMO that really pushed him forward this season

Hoping Altuve and Correa can get their shite together before post season, mainly concerned about Correa

No question Bregs has definitely been the best astro this year, to get to an MVP needs to raise that average a little higher. If this year is any indication of the future, he definitely has the opportunity to in the future

He needs to raise his average another .15 pts and keep getting extra base hits and rbi’s to get some real votes.. he’s inline to finish top 5 if he keeps his trend upwards to close it out

It's like he never swings at a bad pitch. He's phenomenal with 2 strikes as well.

He's completely fine with taking strikes that he can't drive because he knows he can still drive one down in the count.

He's reached base 93 out of his last 95 games

Just a phenomenal hitter

The fact that you didn’t mention Betts or Martinez from Boston tells me you’re more of an LSU fan than a baseball fan.

I was watching the game tonight. He is just shy of 30 HR/50 Dbl/100 RBI for the season. He would only be the 19th player in MLB history to post those numbers during a season. The last player to do so was Albert Pujols in 2012. He needs 2 hrs/4 dbl/ 9 rbi. Impressive for his second season.

Betts is still the MVP.

If Martinez wins the Triple Crown on the best team in Baseball, he may beat out his teammate Betts.
