The 86th ranked offense in the country last year....Yay

I didn't say I was happy with offense under JJ. I am just saying that I don't automatically believe we're better with Lee, like some people assume.

This doesn't make any sense. You do realize that Lee has played quarterback for us, right?

some people blindly love Lee and always preferred him to JJ. who knows why. With Lee, you get a gunslinger, but also someone who's scared as shite when under pressure in the pocket.

I have no idea if he did it or not. I don't have enough information to know. That is what judges and juries are for.

That being said there are consequences to our actions. JJ put himself in the position to be involved in this mess whether he did it or not. I do not think that these people are just making this story up. I believe something happened, but I was not there so I will leave it up to the witnesses.

Of course JJ has more reason scream innocence than these kids have reason to claim he did it.

I just don't get how we're automatically better now? How can someone make that leap? Because we were poor offensively last year? It's possible we're still not better with just Lee. I just don't see how this is a net gain.

I'm not saying JJ was a great quarterback. I'm saying that it's naive and stupid to believe that we're automatically better offensively. That's just dumb.

we can't be worse. I dont think Lee is great or even very good. But losing Reggie Ball version 2.0 doesn't warrant this the sky is falling reaction that we've seen here for the past week. And, I'm sure its all about the innocence of a fine young man and nothing to do with football as the posi-tigers are saying in here. I'm sure all these guys feel the same way when some fat brother from Gardere kicks a white college kid in the face.

Turnover margin as a relation to snaps taken is pretty damn important.

At least he could run.. Breaking news: JL has tied the NCAA record for pick 6's..

and we went 11-2 with JJ doing so poorly.. Losing your starting QB is never good.. Don't think that LSUs situation is any different.

How do you figure this?

Lee's passing stats last year were better than JJ's last season absent the Cotton Bowl.

Actually we will throw more with Lee in the game, because JJ runs so many QB draws and options that will mostly have to be taken out of the play book for JL.

So you are completely wrong. There will be more of a run/throw balance with Lee than with JJ.

For every thread "freaking out" over losing JJ, I've seen about 20 threads saying Lee will throw for 3000+ yards and 25+ TDs

Lee will (at minimum) triple Jeffersons regular season passing TDs. He'll probably throw for a thousand more yards than JJ did too. He probably throws about the same amount of INTs.

We got to 11 wins because of Lee, though. Jefferson was in the process of leading us to another underwhelming 2009 type season.

how does pointing out that JJ is not a big loss to freak out about morph into you arguing that Lee is not some world beater? This is the football equivalent of the George Lopez show being cancelled and replaced by the Carlos Mencia show.

Actually we could be worse. We could turn the ball over more, which is almost worse than anything.

And stop talking about the fricking fight. It has nothing to do with that. You want to make this some sort of "I support a criminal" bullshite. It's a conversation without relation to the past events. Without JJ, I don't feel this team is better with Lee automatically.
