Seriously, think about it. 3rd and 6 with Met and Rus. What's your play call options? Let's see... pass, pass, and oh yeah... pass. Let's hope it all works out. With Flynn you didn't know if you were gonna get a designed qb scramble, pass, lat, etc, etc. It's pretty simple actually

I'm assuming you are talking about whether it is a run or a pass. Think about how modest an accomplishment that is. There are only two choices: run or pass. You start out with a 50/50 chance. We are run heavy to the tune of about 70/30. Figuring out what type of offensive play it is before it happened most of the time is incredibly easy. You'd have to be a tard not to be able to do that. The real issue is, so what?

He doesn't run a 4.6

More like 4.8, 4.9. Mobile enough for Cam to work with.

Yeah, you clearly don't know what you're talking about.

Harris has pretty great speed. Cam Newton ran a 4.58 at the combine and I think he's every bit that fast and probably faster. Did you watch the Spring Game or anything from HS? Kid has serious wheels.

Derek Carr ran a 4.68. Jarrett fricking Lee ran a 4.9

So what? If a "tard" like me could figure it out don't you think the other team was all over it. My point is that Flynn was an excellent passer AND runner. We need that again so our plays aren't so easy to read, and my hopes are that it comes in the form of Jennings or Harris.

Let's take a look at our recent qb's...
Met - Could pass, couldn't run
Lee - Could pass (sometimes), couldn't run
Jefferson - Couldn't pass, could run (sometimes)
...I think i've gone back far enough..need i say more? See any NC victories amongst that group even though we had the D to do it?

Flynn was better than jamarcus, davey and mettenberger??? WHY???

Well for starters, LSU won the 2007 natty in his only year as the starter. None of the other 3 you mentioned did that.

Flynn also had by far the better pro career than they did as well, though I realize this may not be in the parameter of best LSU QB lately, that can't be discounted.

Here's to hoping Harris takes this title down the road though.

I've got no idea what you are talking about. If you could predict the route trees, the protection or blocking scheme, or the type of run, that would be meaningful. You guessing whether you think it is a run or pass (hint: it's probably a run) is irrelevant.

He's also very smart for his age. Much brighter than Jennings IMO

I want Harris to do well, but being classroom smart and speaking well in interviews does not necessarily translate into being a better player.

Let's hope he is football smart, too.

We've had many good players who were as dumb as a bag of hammers.

Eric Crouch won the Heisman and couldn't make a team.

Stop using NFL success to measure college success. It's fricking stupid.
