So, who received death threats?
Howard?
Harris?
I seem to recall that Booty and Jefferson actually did receive such threats and that they were contemporaneously reported.

Arrived with much fan fare, leaves as a footnote to the Miles era. His lack of success is a mix of coaching shortcomings and issues involving his own lack of QB skills.

Yeah we all know Cam Cameron cant coach qbs to save his life.

If he hadn't been the hero on bench and les would have been a little more stubborn , things may have worked out for him and LSU ! Oh I said that at the time unlike the rant I am not a day after coach !

Well I give him credit for loving LSU enough to come here and try. He had his opportunities and it didn't work out for him. I wish him the best. The thing that a lot of people on here forget is that he is a young man and he loved LSU. There is no need to bash him.

this post is so soft. I'm sorry, but at this level of football, nobody should get much credit for "loving LSU," "trying," or being "young." Those criteria apply to every walk-on that's ever come through here.

Now, do we appreciate their efforts? Of course we do. It takes immense effort and dedication to be on the football team at this level, and that's to be respected.

But this is big-time football, and merely loving your school and trying real hard as an 18-21 year old doesn't carry much water. It's either produce on the field, or next man up. It's just the nature of highly-competitive football at this level.

Such is the nature of life. Sooner learned, the better.

Was talking about Perilloux in the other thread. Not Shep.

Got to agree with alttiger. Don't think "love" enters into it for many if not most of these highly recruited prospects. They pick the best offer from the most successful/visible program. The one that they think will do the most for them, not the other way around.
It's a business for all concerned.
