To my knowledge, Brady never called or coordinated an offense prior to coming to LSU. He was the beneficiary of a heisman qb, nfl receiving corps and a much improved line.

Let’s say Burrow wasn’t here and Brennan was the guy last year. Would we be in this position? I doubt it. We had all the right ingredients coming together.

I do think Brady is an excellent coach. However, he doesn’t have some secret insider knowledge that is irreplaceable. Perspective.

No. Burrow's football intelligence was huge. I think Brady was amazing but I think he also owes a lot to Joe's on the field knowledge

Burrow decision making over anything
That will be the toughest thing to replace is a QB that can make quick reads and diagnose defenses

Burrow and Ensminger would beat out Brennan and Brady.

Burrow was showing signs of this last year.

I am not knocking Brennan. Burrow was just other worldly.

Dont tell this board that, they are under the impression there are secret plays. At the end of the day, a large portion of our success was our guys winning the one on ones.

I 100% agree with this. Sure Brady deserves some credit but Burrow's ability to execute the play calls was impeccable. He made perfect reads almost all season. Coaching can only go so far to where talent has to step up and make the plays. The coaching staff gave him alot of control in the offense to call audibles when it seemed necessary.

Brady helped implement an offense that was a perfect fit for Burrow and our playmakers. Neither Brady nor Burrow are the sole reason our offense was so electric this year. We wouldn't have been in this position without either one of them.

Not only this but Burrow was able to work the pocket to buy more time when needed and more importantly Burrow was not afraid to take a hit. He kept his eyes downfield and was tough as nails.

No, he was the beneficiary of a QB who threw 16 TD passes in 13 games last season.

Burrow > Brady. It’s not close. Brady brought us the scheme but Burrow executed it and also ended the decades long curse LSU has had recruiting good QBs. Guys will be begging to come here now thanks to Burrow.

Burrow hardly ever changed the play. Most of that came from the sideline (the box). What Brady's offense did was allow Burrow and the coaches to identify the defense pre-snap and find the mismatch. Burrow was excellent at reading the defense and finding his mismatch, but this was due in part to the scheme.

Burrow. OL. Amazing WR group. Clyde. Brady.

I give credit to our offense in that order.

There was a unique synergy among the players, coaches and system that was as nearly perfect as it gets. I do not know that it will be possible to apportion credit here. I do wish Brady had stayed, but he made the best decision for himself.

Actions speak louder than words. Note that LSU made a good offer to Brady but they did not throw the bank or lofty titles at him so they were willing to risk him going to the NFL. Just sayin...

Did Burrow make Brady? Did Brady make Burrow? Did Brady make Ensminger? Did Burrow make both B & E?

2019 was a textbook laboratory-controlled experiment. Now all 3 are without each other. Let's watch as the 3 formerly-connected pieces navigate their respective 2020 seasons alone while adapting to their new environments.

Let me ask you this....how many of LSU’s throw snaps on offense were the wrs just open by design vs how many were burrow just making a perfect throw on a second or third read? Or with his legs?

That data will tell you if it was “Burrow, or Brady” or maybe a little of both.

I do know that Brady came in a squashed the “max protect BS” that Ensminger was sold on for 5 man protection and protecting your Quarterback with quick game.

He also got rid of a lot of our run game. We basically ran inside some and outside zone blocking for all of 2019. No power, counter, or traps. No pullers
