Why the release? Was he bad last season? (Didn’t really follow the Giants god awful last season )

His story is so crazy, an unranked recruit who just ended up in Baton Rouge due to family circumstance (he only got his star rating after LSU had offered)

I had a friend who was a GA on Thomas McGaughey's special teams staff and he said McGaughey told Wing he had NFL caliber punts after his first practice

Wing had a net average of just 36.7 yards per punt last year, worst in the NFL. So it’s no surprise that he’s gone, especially considering that the Giants can save $1 million against their salary cap by cutting him. Even a punter they can sign for the league minimum ought to be an improvement.

He'll find a spot elsewhere. Punters and kickers never seem to have trouble finding jobs

There has been and never will be another punter that flipped the field like Brad Wing. Bold statement here; I don’t think we beat Alabama in Tuscaloosa that year without him.

I was in the student section for that touchdown. I couldn’t believe they penalized him for that. Crowd was nuts and we beat Florida like a drum

I lost all respect for him after he personally took 6 points off the scoreboard with his grandstanding. I don't give a rat's arse if the score was 100-0.

Downvotes, bottom right.

He was very good the year before. Its a money cut. While he has a big keg, its his placement and ability to out it down deep that is his strength. Hell get a job

Bama’s punter this past season was better.
