Anyone got a link to that article calling LSU the all time DBU? I want to read it but I can't find it on ESPN.
It's not exactly all time. It's an annual Position U thing they do. Here's 2023 - LINK

A quick reminder of our formula: ESPN Stats & Information combed through data on every team dating back to 1998, looking at key markers of greatness at each position. We awarded points for college production (by way of all-conference and All-America honors), NFL draft selections and NFL production (though only through the players' first five years -- Michigan can claim responsibility for Tom Brady's success for only so long).

Can LSU’s defensive front provide more pressure than in the past. That question will have a lot to do with determining how well our secondary can cover.
Totally agree. House will figure out ways to make it work but we will be limited given our need to either play zone or have guys over the top. Pass rush will be absolutely crucial when going against some of the better offenses

It is notable that the one torching them was Nuss.

Covering in a 1 v 1 setting on a completely open field
It wasn’t 1 vs 1 if, as Kelly said, “There’s no man to man.” If that was the case then the defensive backs are just out there providing a zone look.
