We should be able to. ACC already has 2 national seeds. SEC is RPI best conference and only gets one national seed? Makes no sense...so I'm sure the committee will do it

I still wouldn't totally eliminate Miami as a national seed despite their performance this weekend.
Yeah agree they pulled out a good win against Duke today and had been on fire going into the week.

Miami is definitely in the conversation, I just can't see any justification for giving Miami with their RPI a national seed over the SEC or Big12
If they give it to Miami over LSU, #3 conference gets 3 while #1 conference gets ONE....no justification IMO (of course they would probably try to compensat by giving sec 5 regionals and 10-11 bids)
Or if they give it to Miami over Big12, #3 conference gets 3 while #2 conference gets ZERO... Even less justification than getting it over LSU/SEC
I truly do think the above conference "balancing act" - combined with their subpar RPI - unfortunately leaves Miami out.
There is a part of me that sees the big12 getting zero and the seeds going to Miami/LSU. Would not shock me at all given that BOTH big12 teams in the running have RPIs outside Top10 as well

Yeah Miami had good wins over UVA and FSU and UF but ACC was too top heavy. Alot of their late streak was against some bad teams.

so it looks like no ole miss is out , everything i read earlier in the week on here people were putting them in as a top 8 ....
imo..... and i have been too busy to follow everything as close as usual , but it seems like lsu being so hot lately is the national buzz and that gives us the edge....
but just going by years past and with this being a strong year for the sec it is almost impossible they wouldn't give the sec two national seeds , am i correct in assuming that ...

Didn't they used to strongly consider the results from the last 10 games? Is that no longer so?
How can anyone not be aware that this is a totally different (hitting) team than that of a month ago The pitching/fielding is still terrific.
Plus, we're LSU (with the guaranteed attendance), who got shafted a few years ago.

Not looking good for OM ...either LSU or rice/Miami will probably get the last spot IMO...LSU with a win, LSU/Miami/Rice with an lsu loss
All they had to do was win a couple games in Hoover and they blew it

FWIW, I saw yesterday that one of the considerations is last 15 games.

I've always preferred Boyd's world. I'm hoping that their formula is more accurate or that WarrenNolan had a key-in error during their live updates.
Boyd's has us actually jumping Vandy
We'll find out which was right soon, but I found it interesting that Kendal Rogers threw out the phrase yesterday morning that "LSU was seed 8 and rpi 8" when at the time we were 9/10. LINK
Just wanted to share that perhaps our chances of a let-down today have been diminished a bit.
