It's looking like the Outback is taking 4 loss Texas A&M

We have no shot at the Cotton.

Gator Bowl odds should be much higher Matt

Btw: Thanks for thread

I'd be happy with playing Michigan in the Gator...I know it's not the bigger bowl, but the matchup is fun.

This is my problem with Alleva. Even if he can't do anything, at least make it look like he's going to bat on LSU's behalf.

How do any of us know what he did or didn't do?

Dude, I think you are 100% correct

It may sound silly but even the Rose Bowl gets old ( per Oregon). Moving around Matchup's to get the best games is the goal. Michigan would probably look forward to playing LSU in the Gator Bowl. As you stated, "espn can sell that game". Johnny Football can help sell an Outback Bowl against Iowa.

The point is that none of us know what he did or didn't do, and that's the problem.

And you'll be reminded that "hey, did you know Les Miles went to Michigan??" every 5 minutes during the broadcast.

Whatever he did do, it didn't work, and perception is reality.

This. LSU has never played Michigan and it will be fun seeing us line up against Michigan. Playing against Iowa has no appeal whatsoever.

Tweet from Rosetta

quote:

Georgia, Texas A&M and LSU are still possibilities to play in Jacksonville as the SEC representative. Michigan or Nebraska are the main Big Ten teams in the mix. Any combination of those matchups is possible, save for a desire to avoid a Georgia-Nebraska rematch of last year’s Capital One Bowl.

LSU doesn't want Atlanta again.
UGA doesn't want Nebraska again.
Michigan doesn't want Tampa again.

EVERYBODY wants Johnny Football
Chick Fil'A wouldn't mind a UGA game
ESPN wants Les Miles vs. Michigan
Michigan WILL play on New Years Day (Ratings)

This is how the dots are being connected. Now ESPN has to convince everybody that the Outback taking aTm is in everyone's best interest.
