can anyone give me a comparasion between going to a game at Legends (which I'm very familiar with) and going to a game at the bar in Boston?

If we're talking during games, I've only been to Legends (I'm assuming we're talking about in NYC).

As far as the ambiance of the places themselves, I'd say that Legends is "nicer". But I appreciate the atmosphere of the Baseball Tavern (in Boston) as a more laid back type place. Also the rooftop area is money.

I am talking during games...I've been to Legends a lot and it can be hit or miss depending on the game, but when it's rocking it's better than Tiger Stadium because you can get beer and food...

was thinking about Boston for the Auburn game...

Yeah. I went to Legends and Turtle Bay for games quite a few years ago.
I just moved to the Boston area, so I haven't been to a game at the Baseball Tavern yet. But from what I've heard from fans and bartenders, there's usually a pretty strong crowd.

If you're a semi-obnoxious football fan like the rest of us, Baseball Tavern will be the perfect place for you. As far as comparing it to Legends, it's a good deal smaller, and I think the food is a bit less fancy (which I consider to be a plus), and of course the drinks are a little less pricey since it's in podunk Boston.

Basically, if you're in budget mode, you'll have more fun at Baseball Tavern. If you're in OT-baller mode, you'll have more fun at Legends since you actually own the place as well as 100 other restaurants in Midtown.

Haven't been to Legends, but the Baseball Tavern is a good time. Much better for the bigger matchups obviously, but a lot of fun either way.

The bar plays all the songs that the band would for each down, giant inflatable Mike, LSU stuff all over the walls year round.

I'm the last person who wants to get in a NYC vs. Boston argument. They are two different cities and Bostonians tend to have a little brother complex IMO, but I wouldn't consider directly across the street from Fenway Park to be "podunk"

Guava's out in Haverhill. Good people from what I can tell so happy to have him up here.

I used to live in Charlestown and would (too frequently) make the drive out to the Popeye's in Everett whenever the fat kid in me wanted some.

That's awesome. Hopefully I'll meet some of you guys at the Tavern one day. I've lived in Cambridge all my life (44 years old), and I'm embarrassed to say I've never been to the Baseball Tavern. And I've been to countless Sox games. And I love to drink. Weird …

Thanks, bud. We need to grab that beer one day soon.

The wife and I met a bunch of people from the Haverhill area last weekend. Good folks up here.

Don't mean to hijack the thread, but I just moved to Dallas and would love if they had something like this there. Does anyone know the best spot to watch a game in Dallas.

Id like to make it to Boston to watch a game at the baseball tavern. Sounds like an experience
