This is college sports, it's not all about winning every game. It's about teaching young men, and setting examples of loyalty and respect. Les does it better than anyone in the coaching profession, just ask Patrick Petterson he will tell you.
i fell for your hook at first...well played so far!

I hear this all the time about college football players. They get tuition, room, board, books, tutoring, health care and perhaps more.
I and many others went to college and had to pay for all of the above in real money. Students leave college with debt now to pay for all of the above and have to re pay real money. Whether it is equitable or not is open for discussion, but they are still earning remuneration. And the last time I checked nobody was putting a gun to the student athletes head and making him go to school on a scholarship.
you are making my point
So what about Les....what does he owe LSU

Les is paid over $4 million per year. We also pay his staff millions of dollars.
I can't get behind this statement. It doesn't matter how much he is getting paid as this is set more by the market than anything else. What matters is he is employed to do a job and it is not getting done.

it's year 12 my man
And most of us that care about LSU football have aged very badly over those 12 years. I'm looking forward to feeling young again after this season.

Actually he owes LSU the ability to put a offense on the field that can complete a forward pass. That's not asking for much considering he makes 4.3 mill a year.

I don't think he owes fans a thing. However I do think it's past time for him to realize when it is time to "retire."

he is one of the highest paid coaches and we are getting a bad return on our investment. I wonder what Herman makes.

Les is robbing LSU for the amount of money he makes to not even be competitive in divisional games in November

Booger needs to quit all that bullshite talk, I go over there and whip his arse.

If miles survives this season he better adapt to the times and take Lsu's offense n a new direction.
Heard that back in November.
And it's the same damn thing now as it was then. If he survives this season, he ain't changing jack-shite, because he knows he won't have to.

The Miles crew is back
last stand I am guessing

He owes us, his players and coaches a fighting chance to be relevant.

Unfortunately, Miles reached his ceiling several years ago. His inability to change on the offensive side of the ball has been his demise.
He really thinks that his philosophy works most of the time and that is enough if he has a strong D. The problem is that it works about 80% of the time and it is not enough.

Les Miles owes it to his players to put out a competent offense. Thus far that has been lacking.
He owes it to his family to make as much money as he possibly can, while he still can. He has done a great job of that.
He doesn't owe the university a thing and the University doesn't owe him a thing. They negotiate contracts for that. Grow up.

Then every single lsu coach has left more than Miles on the table. Are you under the assumption that Miles' tenure is not the best tenure in lsu history?

What's wrong with us is that in the past 10 - 11 yrs, only 2 coaches have out recruited Les Miles.... ( Urban and Nick ). Yet Urban has 3 and Nick has 4 titles in that time span. Les has 1, and it took an unprecedented circumstance for his 2 loss team in 07 to play for and win that 1. He year in and year out has the talent, but can't develop the QB spot or diversify his offense enough to win when it really counts... a lot of his team's have won many games on talent alone, not his coaching ability. They have won what they won in spite of Miles, not because of him.

Booger is being stupid. Les miles owes lsu or the fans nothing. What is wrong with this fan base and the people who cover the team?
fricking Ignorant Fools
So everything you read and everything you watch says one thing about LSU and you think something else, but we are the fools

Judging from the absence of coaching in the Wisconsin game, Les feels he owes LSU nothing or their fans.
